Alpha Futures counts MBT and MET as full mini contracts for position limits. A “micro” crypto label does not give these products the usual ten-for-one allowance suggested by other micro-contract columns. The official product guide explicitly illustrates five MBT consuming five full contracts. Permitted products and trading hours.

Verified code: COMPARE advertises up to 50% off eligible Alpha Futures purchases. The current offer does not establish 50% for every account or recurring charge. Official sources checked 10 October 2026.

Start with the product's firm-specific weight

An exchange product name and a prop firm's capacity rule answer different questions. Use the exact symbol and current rule to determine how much of the firm's contract allowance an order consumes. Do not copy an order quantity merely because both the old and new symbols are described as micro contracts.

A simple product reference should record the platform symbol, the firm's counting treatment and the source date. Record the actual contract's market exposure separately. Counting one full slot does not establish a particular dollar risk or mean that MBT and MET have identical price behavior.

The official guide supports the specific MBT/MET exception. It should not be used to invent a rule for every future crypto product that might become available later.

Then identify the current account ceiling

The relevant allowance depends on the account model and stage. The Qualified scaling table starts Zero $50K below $1,500 profit at one mini or ten ordinary micros. Standard $50K in the same profit band starts at two minis or twenty ordinary micros. Advanced has no scaling plan in that table.

For these MBT/MET calculations, use the mini allowance. A new Zero $50K Qualified account at the cited tier should not translate the displayed ten-micro column into permission for ten MBT.

The separate Standard scaling guide explains progression through profit bands. This article focuses on the product weight applied after the correct current ceiling has been identified.

Three examples expose the counting error

Example one: one MBT on a one-mini tier

Assume the platform confirms a current one-mini allowance and no other exposure. One MBT consumes that one slot under the published exception. Two MBT would require two full slots, even though both contracts have “micro” in their product family name.

This is a capacity illustration, not a recommendation to trade at the maximum. The trade must still fit the account's loss rules and the trader's intended risk.

Example two: five MBT against a five-mini ceiling

At a confirmed five-mini allowance, five MBT consume the full five slots. Treating those five contracts as 0.5 of a mini would understate capacity usage by 4.5 slots. The error is operationally important even before any profit or loss occurs.

A saved order preset containing ten contracts would require ten full slots for MBT. Comparing the number ten only with a headline fifty-micro allowance would give the wrong result.

Example three: a second entry changes aggregate exposure

Suppose three MBT are already open under a five-mini ceiling. An additional three-MBT entry would create six MBT if it fills, exceeding that ceiling. Looking at each ticket separately would miss the combined exposure.

Before submitting an additional entry, review open positions and working entry orders together. For mixed products or complex orders, get the platform's confirmed aggregation treatment rather than inventing offsets. The cited guide explains the MBT/MET weight but does not document every mixed-position edge case.

Keep capacity and dollar loss on separate lines

The capacity calculation does not replace a monetary risk estimate. Record planned quantity, stop distance, instrument value per move, commissions and a reasonable allowance for uncertain execution. Compare the resulting exposure with the remaining account loss room.

For example, an order can fit the one-contract ceiling and still have an unaffordable stop distance for the account. Conversely, a small estimated monetary loss does not authorize exceeding the contract ceiling. Both checks need to pass independently.

The Alpha Futures review explains the wider account differences, while the news-window guide covers another execution constraint.

Standard purchase example with a conditional maximum discount

The official Standard page displays $129 per month for the $50K evaluation. The following assumes that this selected initial charge receives the maximum advertised discount:

PlanSizeRegular priceCodeDiscountSavingsFinal price
Standard evaluation$50,000$129.00/monthCOMPAREUp to 50%; 50% assumed$64.50 conditional$64.50 conditional initial charge

USD amounts exclude separate charges, and renewal eligibility is unconfirmed. The product page describes continued Qualified monthly pricing while the subscription help article says Qualified traders have no monthly subscription. Resolve that conflict for the selected order before budgeting the next stage.

Choose the account and platform, apply COMPARE and save the actual discount and billing terms. A lower entry fee does not change MBT/MET counting. Compare Futures Prop may earn affiliate commission. Simulated program fees can be lost, and compliant position size does not guarantee profits or a payout.
