Blue Guardian News Window Ledger + Promo Code CFP
OCT 5
2026
Quick answer: On Blue Guardian Standard funded accounts, plan around the five-minute restriction before and after relevant high-impact news. Review opening and closing executions, not just entry signals. Keep a calendar-to-trade record so you can identify which instrument, timestamp and account stage applied.
Verified code: CFP for 25% off Blue Guardian purchase fees. The CFD coupon offer is separate from the Futures offer. Official rules reviewed 5 October 2026. This article explains a practical news-event record rather than repeating an account-price comparison.

The rule changes after the evaluation
The Two-Step Standard rule page allows news trading in the challenge but restricts funded opening and closing within five minutes either side of relevant high-impact releases, including FOMC events. News-related profits may be removed; the page also covers profits significantly influenced by an event and attempts to evade the restriction.
Its affected-instrument table extends beyond currency pairs: USD/FOMC examples include gold, major U.S. indices and Bitcoin or Ether CFDs. A forex-only calendar filter can therefore miss relevant exposure. Consult the official instrument mapping rather than classifying an event solely by the chart currently open.
Create the session record before placing trades
A useful record joins the event calendar and execution history. Save the calendar time zone explicitly; a bare “14:00” is ambiguous if the platform clock is different.
These are illustrative times, not a calendar for today. The record is our suggested workflow, not an additional firm requirement. If two relevant events overlap, keep both rows rather than overwriting the first window.
Worked timing examples
Assume a relevant event is scheduled for 14:00 in the same time zone as your execution record. The planning window is 13:55 to 14:05.
An earlier entry with an in-window exit
A position entered at 13:40 and closed at 14:02 still has an execution inside the restricted period. Looking only at its opening time misses the issue. Record both timestamps and review the firm's policy before treating the entire profit as withdrawable.
A pending instruction that executes later
An order created before the window may execute during it. Your journal should distinguish order-submission time from fill time. This is why a screenshot of when you clicked a button is less useful than the platform's completed execution record.
A trade around the boundary
Do not design a strategy around hitting the exact second at the edge of a restriction. Clock differences and execution delays create avoidable uncertainty. A personal operating buffer is a planning choice, not a claim that the firm publishes a wider official window.
Reconcile performance after the session
Maintain separate columns for raw platform profit, any amount identified for review, and confirmed adjustments. An illustrative $900 platform result with $150 flagged for clarification is not automatically a $750 approved reward. Approval and the actual adjustment remain the firm's decision.
This approach helps avoid spending money that is still subject to review. It also makes a support inquiry concrete: identify the account, event and execution timestamps without sending unrelated personal information.
For evaluation targets and drawdown mechanics, read our One-Step Standard guide and Two-Step Standard guide. Their main purpose is account selection; this ledger addresses funded execution timing.
Keep the coupon calculation separate from trading profit
CFP reduces the account purchase fee by 25% under the current CFD offer. It does not make news profits automatically payable. The calculation on a supported regular fee P is savings = P × 0.25 and discounted base fee = P × 0.75.
The current public selector did not expose a reliable Standard price for this check. No old Standard fee is presented here as a current quote. Optional upgrades, taxes and separate services remain additional unless their discount scope is documented.

The Blue Guardian overview links the broader account context. A lower entry fee does not remove review conditions or protect against trading losses.
