Blue Guardian Futures Session Close + Promo Code CFP
OCT 7
2026

Quick answer: Blue Guardian Futures' trading-hours page lists automatic position closure at 4:10 p.m. New York time, and says that automatic close is not itself a rule violation. Its instrument guide expresses the account window as 5:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. Central time. Build your session plan around the account cutoff, the selected instrument and the date's actual schedule.

Read the firm's cutoff separately from general market hours
The official trading-hours policy gives an 18:00–16:10 window using the wording “EST” and “NY Time.” It says all open trades automatically close at 16:10 without that closure being an account breach. The instrument guide separately labels account hours as 17:00–15:10 CT and warns that the instrument table's market hours are general hours.
Do not extend account trading simply because a contract's broader exchange session is still open. Equally, an instrument may have a shorter session than the account's outer window. A session plan needs both limits.
The help page's mixed “EST/NY Time” wording is a reason to verify the dashboard clock and support guidance around daylight-saving changes. This guide does not turn that wording into a fixed year-round UTC offset. Record the date and time zone with every cutoff so a saved alarm does not silently become wrong after a clock change.
Make the last part of the session deliberate
An automatic close is an operational backstop, not a promised execution price. Your trading plan should decide when new entries stop, when existing exposure is reviewed and how you verify that the account is flat.
These checkpoints are an editorial workflow, not mandatory extra times imposed by the firm. Select a personal preparation margin rather than treating the final seconds as a guaranteed opportunity to enter or exit.
Example: an intended exit is not the recorded fill
Suppose a trader sends an exit instruction shortly before the published cutoff. The chart display appears flat, but an execution report has not yet refreshed. The useful next step is to reconcile the account's actual position and fills, not infer that the first click guarantees a particular price or timestamp.
If the system's automatic close completes the exit, preserve the final execution details. Do not log both the manual instruction and the eventual automatic fill as two completed exits unless the history actually shows two fills. That would distort the trade journal and could conceal an unintended reversal.
Check orders as well as positions
The short trading-hours article explicitly describes open-trade closure. It does not provide a complete policy for every pending-order type, copier, platform disconnection or holiday exception.
Inspect working orders separately rather than assuming every associated instruction has disappeared. Use the supported platform controls and confirm the resulting state. If you cannot reconcile an order, contact official support with the account reference, symbol, order IDs, time zone and observed timestamps. Do not repeatedly send replacement instructions while uncertain about what already filled.
A screenshot is helpful context, but an execution export is more useful for distinguishing submission, acceptance, fill and cancellation events. Keep both when an incident materially affects the account.
Automatic closure does not erase trading losses
For Standard accounts, the official rules describe an EOD maximum-loss threshold and separate daily-loss controls. The statement that scheduled closure is not a violation does not waive those limits or reverse losses realized by an exit.
After the session, compare the actual account status with the reason displayed for any restriction. Use the daily-stop and hard-breach guide when identifying why trading stopped. Do not automatically classify every disabled account as a harmless scheduled close.
