Quick verdict: Reserve is the best overall Blue Guardian Futures account for many steady traders because it has no default daily loss limit, no funded consistency percentage and no payout buffer. Standard is best for traders who want fixed contract limits and larger later payout caps. Express is best for daily payout access. Direct is best only when skipping the evaluation justifies stricter consistency and higher profit goals.
All four current models use one-time pricing, end-of-day trailing drawdown and a 90% trader profit split. The biggest differences appear in the daily loss rule, funded scaling, payout buffer, consistency calculation and time required to qualify for a withdrawal.

What all four plans have in common
The current Blue Guardian Futures lineup shares several features:
- One-time purchase pricing
- No monthly renewal fee
- No separate activation fee
- 90% trader and 10% firm profit split
- End-of-day trailing maximum loss
- News trading allowed on current simulated evaluation and funded programs
- Payout processing within 24 business hours when approved
- Rise and cryptocurrency withdrawal methods
- A performance-based route to live CME trading
- Positions and accounts remain subject to prohibited-strategy and inactivity rules
Evaluation and funded accounts are simulated until any live promotion. Purchasing an account does not guarantee passing, payout approval or promotion to live capital.
Standard account explained
Standard is a one-phase evaluation designed for traders who want fixed position limits in both evaluation and Sim Funded.
Standard evaluation rules
There is no consistency percentage during the Standard evaluation. Larger sizes use a soft daily loss limit: reaching it pauses trading until the next session rather than permanently breaching the account, provided the maximum drawdown was not also hit.
Standard does not use the funded scaling ladder found on Reserve and Express. Traders retain the published fixed contract limit.
Standard payout rules
Standard payouts require:
- The account to satisfy the published payout objective
- A 40% funded consistency percentage
- Profit above the required buffer
- At least three days from the first funded trade
- Compliance with the size-specific payout cap
The buffer is not withdrawable. After an approved payout, the drawdown floor locks at the starting balance plus $100.
Choose Standard if:
- You want fixed contract access after passing
- You prefer no evaluation consistency rule
- You can maintain 40% funded consistency
- You are comfortable building a payout buffer
- You value larger later-stage payout caps
Avoid Standard if:
- You dislike funded consistency calculations
- You do not want capital locked in a buffer
- You prefer progressive sizing to control risk
Reserve account explained
Reserve is designed for traders who want fewer funded payout restrictions. It has no DLL by default, no funded consistency percentage and no traditional payout buffer.
Reserve evaluation rules
Reserve uses a 6% target and the same EOD maximum loss structure as the current Standard sizes:
There is no default daily loss limit, although an optional DLL configuration may be available. The 50% challenge consistency rule includes a published 1% calculation cushion. An oversized winning day does not breach the evaluation; the trader must continue earning until the percentage qualifies.
Reserve funded payouts
Reserve requires five winning days per payout cycle:
For Reserve accounts purchased on or after July 27, 2026, the published net-profit requirement applies to payout cycles two through five. The winning-day and net-profit counters reset after an approved payout.
Reserve has no funded consistency percentage or payout buffer, but only 50% of accumulated profit can be requested within the cap. Funded accounts begin with reduced contracts and scale from EOD balance triggers.
Choose Reserve if:
- You want no default DLL
- You prefer no funded consistency percentage
- You do not want a payout buffer
- Your strategy produces five repeatable winning days
- You accept funded contract scaling and a 50%-of-profit request limit
Avoid Reserve if:
- You want the fastest possible withdrawal frequency
- You do not want evaluation consistency
- You require full contract access immediately after funding
Express account explained
Express is the daily-payout model. It is available in $50K, $100K and $150K sizes and combines EOD drawdown with a 2% soft DLL.
Express evaluation rules
The consistency rule applies during the challenge only. After passing, the Express Sim Funded account has no funded consistency percentage but uses progressive contract scaling.
Express payouts
Once the required buffer is built, eligible traders can request payouts daily.
Only profits above the buffer are withdrawable. The current minimum request is $100 through cryptocurrency or $500 through Rise. Approved requests are subject to the 24-business-hour processing policy.
Choose Express if:
- Daily payout eligibility is your top priority
- You can pass with 40% evaluation consistency
- You are comfortable maintaining a buffer
- The daily caps fit your expected profit level
- You accept a funded scaling ladder
Avoid Express if:
- You want a $25K account
- You dislike daily loss limits
- You do not want funds held in a buffer
- You prefer larger but less frequent withdrawals
Direct account explained
Direct skips the evaluation and begins at the simulated-funded stage. It has the highest upfront price and the strictest consistency progression.
Direct is not an unrestricted live account. Payout goals, consistency, drawdown, DLL and caps still apply.
Direct risk limits
Direct uses fixed position limits rather than funded scaling.
Direct payout objectives
Direct consistency becomes less restrictive over time:
- First payout: 20%
- Second payout: 25%
- Third and later payouts: 30%
There is no payout buffer. However, the first-cycle goal is equivalent to the standard 6% evaluation target, and a 20% consistency rule generally requires profit to be distributed across at least five balanced winning days.
The current minimum Direct withdrawal is $1,000.
Choose Direct if:
- Skipping the evaluation has meaningful value to you
- You already trade consistently across multiple sessions
- You can afford the higher one-time fee
- You want fixed contract limits
- You understand that direct funding does not mean immediate payout
Avoid Direct if:
- You are choosing it because evaluations expose weak risk management
- You rely on one or two large winning days
- You expect to withdraw without first meeting a profit goal
- You want the lowest-cost route
EOD drawdown: how it affects every model
All four current models use end-of-day trailing drawdown. The threshold updates from the highest closed balance at the end of the trading session rather than constantly following unrealized intraday profit.
EOD drawdown is generally easier to track than an intraday trail, but withdrawals matter. After a payout, Blue Guardian Futures locks the drawdown floor at starting balance plus $100. Traders should calculate the remaining risk room before submitting a maximum request.
A soft DLL and maximum drawdown are different:
- Reaching a soft DLL pauses trading for the session.
- Reaching the maximum drawdown is a hard breach that closes the account.
Which Blue Guardian Futures account is cheapest?
Reserve has the lowest starting listed price at $70 for the 25K account. Standard begins at $98, Express begins at $113.40 for 50K, and Direct starts at $195.30.
Price alone can mislead:
- Reserve is inexpensive but introduces challenge consistency and funded scaling.
- Standard costs more at smaller sizes but keeps fixed contract limits.
- Express charges for faster withdrawal access while requiring a buffer.
- Direct costs the most because it removes the evaluation—not the payout objectives.
Apply CFP for 45% off eligible initial account purchase fees, then compare the discounted cost with the probability of passing and the funded rules you will actually trade.
Standard vs Reserve: which is better?
Choose Standard if fixed size and larger later payout caps matter more than a buffer and funded consistency. Choose Reserve if avoiding a DLL, payout buffer and funded consistency percentage matters more than immediate full contract access.
Reserve is usually the more forgiving funded account. Standard is better for traders who want the same fixed size across both stages.
Reserve vs Express: which is better?
Choose Reserve for simpler funded risk rules and choose Express for daily withdrawal access.
Reserve requires five winning days and has no buffer. Express can pay daily but requires a buffer and uses a soft DLL. A patient trader who dislikes locked capital may prefer Reserve; a cash-flow-focused trader may prefer Express.
Express vs Direct: which is better?
Express requires an evaluation but offers daily payout access once the buffer is built. Direct skips the evaluation but requires strict consistency and cycle profit goals.
If you can pass a 6% evaluation, Express is usually cheaper. Direct makes more sense only when bypassing the challenge justifies the higher price and your strategy naturally fits its consistency limits.
Other rules that affect all four accounts
- News trading is allowed on current evaluation and Sim Funded programs.
- News trading is prohibited after promotion to a real live account.
- Copy trading is allowed only between accounts legally owned by the same trader.
- Third-party signal mirroring and account management are prohibited.
- Less than 50% of total profit may come from trades held under 10 seconds.
- Martingale abuse, latency exploitation, coordinated hedging and simulated-fill exploitation can trigger account action.
- Evaluation accounts require activity at least once every 30 calendar days.
- Funded accounts require activity at least once every seven calendar days.
- Platform and exchange-data charges may vary.
For the broader restrictions, see our Blue Guardian Futures rules guide.
What happens after five payouts?
Reaching payout five can place a trader into Blue Guardian Futures' Live Review Pool. Promotion is not automatic. The risk team evaluates consistency, risk management, discipline, profitability and account history.
Approved live accounts use real CME execution, start at $0, provide daily payouts, use EOD drawdown and remove the DLL and consistency requirement. Live news trading remains prohibited.
Final verdict
Best overall for steady traders: Reserve. It removes the default DLL, funded consistency and payout buffer, though traders must accept five winning days, funded scaling and the 50%-of-profit request formula.
Best for fixed sizing: Standard. It keeps fixed contract limits and provides stronger later payout caps, but requires a funded buffer and 40% consistency.
Best for daily payouts: Express. It provides the fastest recurring payout access after the buffer is built, but carries a soft DLL and funded scaling.
Best for skipping evaluation: Direct. It eliminates the challenge while keeping demanding profit goals and consistency rules. It is designed for experienced, repeatable traders—not as an easier substitute for passing.
