Which accounts use the 3% daily reset?
Classic, Pro and Turbo use a 3% daily calculation in evaluation and funded trading. Their overall loss allowances differ.
Sources: official evaluation rules and funded daily-loss guidance.
Grandfathered 2-Step accounts and Spark have separate terms. The funded FAQ identifies 4% daily loss for the former and no separate daily limit for Spark. Use the product attached to your account when choosing a formula.
How do I calculate the daily floor and remaining room?
Multiply the balance recorded at 00:30 UTC by 0.97. Then compare current equity with both the daily floor and the static overall floor.
- Daily floor = reset balance × 0.97.
- Current equity = balance plus the floating result of open positions.
- Active floor = the higher of the daily and overall floors.
- Remaining room = current equity minus that active floor.
The balance excludes open positions when the new daily threshold is calculated. Those positions still affect the equity that is monitored afterward. The evaluation daily-loss FAQ confirms the balance-based calculation.
Treat a zero remaining-room figure as a threshold touch. Breakout's equity-limit explanation describes touching either floor as a breach. A spreadsheet's positive number should include room for costs and movement before an order executes.
What can change when an open losing position crosses the reset?
The daily floor can rise following realized gains, even when the floating loss has not changed. Consider a hypothetical $25,000 Pro evaluation.
Its previous reset balance was $25,000, creating a $24,250 daily floor. During the session, closed trades add a net $750. The new balance is $25,750, but an open position has a $700 floating loss, leaving equity at $25,050.
The new floor is $25,750 × 0.97 = $24,977.50. Its $727.50 increase leaves much less room beneath the same equity.
This illustration holds market prices and additional charges constant to isolate the recalculation. In practice, another price move or charged fee changes the remaining amount. The account's $23,750 Pro overall floor is lower than both daily floors, so the daily rule controls this example.
Recording the floating loss as zero in a worksheet would overstate remaining room by $700. Carry it into the equity column even though it does not enter the reset-balance calculation.
Can the overall floor become tighter than the daily floor?
Yes. After accumulated losses, the fixed overall floor can sit above the newly calculated daily floor.
Take a separate $25,000 Turbo evaluation. Its static overall floor is $24,250. Suppose its reset balance is $24,600 and its current equity is $24,400.
The usable distance to a breach threshold is $150 in this snapshot. A fresh daily calculation does not restore the original overall allowance.

What should I record before holding across 00:30 UTC?
Record the reset balance, floating result, both floors and pending costs. These are the inputs needed to reproduce the calculation.
- Confirm the correct account, model and trading stage.
- Read the current limits in the Breakout Dashboard.
- Record balance and equity separately.
- Calculate the expected next daily floor from balance.
- Compare equity against the higher floor.
- Check open orders, position exposure and charged or upcoming costs.
- Reconcile the dashboard's new threshold after recalculation.
A scheduled reset does not cancel a breach that occurs beforehand. Breakout's program rules also charge trading commissions and holding costs. A worksheet built from gross trade profit alone can therefore disagree with the posted account balance.
How do funded payouts change the reset ledger?
A funded payout request has its own daily-floor adjustment, followed by the normal recalculation at 00:30 UTC.
The official payout adjustment FAQ says the daily floor is lowered by the full requested amount. At the next reset, the floor is calculated from the balance then present.
For an original illustration, a $26,000 reset balance produces a $25,220 daily floor. If a funded withdrawal deducts $1,000 from balance, the balance becomes $25,000 and the adjusted daily floor becomes $24,220. With no further account changes, the next reset produces $24,250.
Use the account deduction shown by the platform when reconciling this adjustment, rather than substituting a different wallet-receipt amount. Recheck the overall floor independently.
Payout requests require no open positions, an unbreached account and at least $50 after the performance split, according to the payout request guide. Evaluation profit is separate from a funded payout. See our Breakout payout guide for the wider process.
How much are $25K evaluations after COMPARE, and how do I apply it?
Use Breakout Prop discount code COMPARE for the listed 5% off covered standard evaluation fees. The following examples use the standard 80% trader-share prices displayed on the official pricing page at review.
- Open official pricing through our Breakout Prop firm review.
- Choose the model, size and share option.
- Enter COMPARE in the coupon field before payment.
- Apply it and inspect the reduction and full order total.
- Keep the receipt and purchased account terms.
The 90% share upgrade costs extra, so its total is outside these base-fee rows. The coupon confirmation comes from Yash R; this article does not report a checkout test. The discount reduces purchase cost while the selected account's risk limits continue to apply.
