Quick answer: A Breakout Prop funded balance is not a personal cash deposit or ownership of the firm's market positions. The dedicated FAQ describes simulated funded capital. Payward Oceanic, Ltd governs the funded relationship separately from the evaluation provider, and its disclosures distinguish trader performance records from transactions it may choose to execute for itself.

Official sources and published standard-plan prices checked 10 October 2026. This is a guide to reading the program's money and ownership descriptions before purchasing.

Separate four numbers that appear in the same journey

The purchase fee, nominal account balance, trading result and received payout serve different purposes. Keeping them on separate lines prevents a large account label from being mistaken for personal wealth.

NumberWhat the record representsUseful evidence
Evaluation feeThe amount paid for the selected program attemptInvoice and order configuration
Nominal account balanceThe program's starting measurement scaleAccount specification and dashboard
Recorded trading resultPerformance within the applicable environmentDated account statement
Received payoutAn actual payment received after the applicable processPayment record and receiving transaction

This is an explanatory accounting aid, not a tax classification. For example, a $50,000 nominal account purchased for a much smaller fee does not create a $50,000 bank balance. The two figures belong to different categories even when they appear on one purchase screen.

Breakout Prop's evaluation-capital FAQ says demo capital has no real economic value and measures evaluation performance. The funded-environment FAQ likewise describes simulated capital, with execution conditions intended to reflect market liquidity. These are the firm's descriptions, not independent execution testing by this publication.

Identify the company for each stage

The relationship FAQ identifies two separate relationships: Breakout Trading Group, LLC for evaluation, and Payward Oceanic, Ltd for funded trading. Each has its own terms and obligations.

Retain both the purchase terms and the later funded agreement. A payment receipt shows what was bought; it does not reproduce every term of a later relationship. Check the named entity, document version and account identifier when organizing the records.

A sensible question before proceeding is: which document explains the result I expect? The purchase invoice answers the fee question. The funded agreement addresses funded-stage rights. A dashboard screenshot records a status or figure at a point in time. None should silently substitute for all the others.

Our funded-approval checklist covers the separate onboarding steps. This guide focuses on the economic meaning after that stage is understood.

Understand what the routing disclosure actually says

The official disclosures say that any market-facing transactions are POL's own transactions. POL can record a trade idea internally or choose to route it for its proprietary book. Traders have neither control over nor visibility into that choice, and do not own the firm's accounts, assets or positions.

The same disclosure says certain third-party incentives may accrue to POL without being included in trader P&L, and acknowledges conflicts of interest. Record these points as program disclosures rather than assuming that a particular fill proves external exchange execution.

Do not infer fraud merely from simulation. Equally, do not infer asset ownership merely from a realistic trading interface. Assess the actual written arrangement and the firm's stated obligations.

Keep payout evidence separate from insurance claims

POL's user-funds FAQ says it does not hold user funds. The separate payout-insurance FAQ states that payouts are not insured or guaranteed by any institution, including FDIC or SIPC.

A public payout example can show that a payment was reported. It cannot establish insurance for another account or guarantee a future payment. Distinguish a firm's historical marketing claim, a trader's payment record and a contractual protection. They answer different due-diligence questions.

Before relying on expected income, read the relevant payout conditions and keep planned amounts separate from money actually received. Our payout guide explains the request process and profit-share calculations without treating an on-demand label as a guaranteed arrival time.

What COMPARE reduces in the purchase budget

The official pricing page lists these standard 80% trader-share evaluation fees. The coupon calculation reduces the purchase fee; it does not create an insured deposit or additional account ownership.

Optional upgrades, taxes and conversion costs are excluded. Choose the exact plan, apply COMPARE once, and inspect every charge before paying. Keep any budget for additional attempts separate from the fee for this attempt.

Apply COMPARE to the selected standard plan

  1. Select Classic, Pro or Turbo, the account size and profit-share option.
  2. Enter COMPARE and apply the 5% evaluation base-fee discount.
  3. Check the reduced fee, optional charges and full payable total before paying.

The Breakout Prop review compares the wider account lineup. Compare Futures Prop may receive commission through qualifying links or coupon use.
