DayTraders.com Pro vs Straight-to-Funded: Payout Timing and Consistency
DayTraders.com offers more than one route into a payout-eligible simulated account. The important choice is not simply whether a trader wants to avoid an evaluation. It is whether the Pro payout cycle or the Straight-to-Funded (S2F) rules better match the trader’s pace, consistency, and tolerance for end-of-day drawdown.
This guide compares those two routes using DayTraders.com’s official payout FAQ and funded-account rules, checked on September 1, 2026. It focuses on the practical details that determine when profit can actually be requested.
Pro and S2F Begin From Different Starting Points
A Pro account follows a completed evaluation. Its funded-stage drawdown continues from the evaluation type selected, which may be trailing or static.
S2F skips the evaluation and starts directly in a simulated funded environment. DayTraders.com’s official rules say S2F uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown, so its loss floor is based on the highest eligible closing balance rather than moving upward with every intraday high.
That distinction matters. Pro gives traders a choice of evaluation structures before funding, while S2F trades evaluation time for its own funded rules and payout targets.
Qualifying Days Set the Payout Clock
DayTraders.com defines a qualifying day as a session that reaches the minimum profit for the account size while following all account rules. The trading day runs from 6:00 p.m. ET to 5:00 p.m. ET the next day.
The official payout FAQ currently states:
- Pro accounts require 8 qualifying days between payout requests.
- S2F accounts require 10 qualifying days between payout requests.
- The payout-request day does not count toward the next cycle.
- The session after approval begins the new cycle.
- The minimum request is $500, submitted in $500 increments.
A calendar day with a small profit does not automatically count. For example, a 50K account requires at least $200 of daily simulated profit to create a qualifying day. A $175 session can help the balance but will not advance the qualifying-day counter.
Consistency Is Tighter on S2F
The funded-account rules use a best-day calculation:
largest winning day ÷ total simulated profit
For Pro accounts, one day may not exceed 30% of total simulated profit during the payout cycle. For S2F, the published cap is 20%.
Suppose the largest day is $800:
- A Pro trader needs at least $2,666.67 in total cycle profit for $800 to represent no more than 30%.
- An S2F trader needs at least $4,000 for the same $800 day to represent no more than 20%.
This is why S2F can be faster at the beginning—there is no evaluation—but slower for traders whose profits arrive in a few large sessions.
Pro Payout Balances and Caps
Pro accounts use a minimum balance before a request, a required balance after the withdrawal, and a size-based maximum request.
The official examples checked September 1, 2026 include:
- 25K Pro: request eligibility at $26,600, remain at or above $26,000, maximum $1,000.
- 50K Pro: request eligibility at $52,600, remain at or above $52,000, maximum $2,000.
- 100K Pro: request eligibility at $103,100, remain at or above $103,000, maximum $3,000.
- 150K Pro: request eligibility at $155,100, remain at or above $153,500, maximum $3,500.
- 300K Pro: request eligibility at $307,600, remain at or above $305,000, maximum $5,000.
The maximum request is not always the maximum safe request. A trader should subtract the proposed withdrawal and verify the remaining distance to the account’s failure threshold.
S2F Uses Step-Down Profit Targets
S2F does not copy the Pro balance schedule. It uses payout profit targets that generally decline after early withdrawals.
For the published 50K S2F example:
- First payout target: $3,500.
- Second payout target: $3,000.
- Third and later target: $2,500.
- Maximum request: $2,000.
For the 25K example, the targets step from $2,000 to $1,500 and then $1,000, with a $1,000 maximum request. The 150K example steps from $10,000 to $5,000 and then $3,500, with a $3,000 maximum request.
These targets work alongside the 10 qualifying days and 20% consistency rule. Reaching only one of the requirements is not enough.
Profit Share and Processing
DayTraders.com’s official material currently describes a 100% simulated profit share for both Pro and S2F accounts. That headline does not remove balance, qualifying-day, consistency, maximum-request, verification, or compliance conditions.
The payout FAQ says approved requests submitted before 5:00 p.m. ET can reflect the same day. Traders must configure their payout method, request through the dashboard, and place a trade after submission so the system can generate the required report.
Processing speed should be measured after eligibility and approval—not from the moment a profitable trade closes.
A Practical Choice Framework
Pro may fit better when:
- The trader prefers an evaluation before the payout stage.
- Eight qualifying days are easier than ten.
- A 30% best-day limit matches the strategy.
- The selected trailing or static structure is preferable to S2F’s EOD trail.
- The trader can maintain the published request and post-withdrawal balances.
S2F may fit better when:
- Skipping the evaluation is the priority.
- EOD trailing drawdown fits the strategy.
- Ten qualifying days are acceptable.
- Profits can be spread within a stricter 20% best-day rule.
- The trader understands the step-down payout targets.
Session Checklist
Before each session:
- Record the current drawdown floor and remaining cushion.
- Note the account-size minimum profit for a qualifying day.
- Calculate the largest winning day divided by current cycle profit.
- Decide whether the goal is risk reduction, a qualifying day, or additional consistency profit.
- Avoid forcing a trade only to advance the counter.
- Before requesting, verify the minimum balance, post-withdrawal balance, target, cap, and payout-method setup.
