FundedNext Futures normally opens at 5:00 PM Central Time and requires positions to be closed by 3:10 PM CT the following day. Its weekend break runs from Friday's cutoff to Sunday's reopening. A holiday notice can bring the permitted close forward, so the normal clock should never be copied into a holiday plan without checking the notice.

Reviewed: 28 October 2026. The official sources linked below were read for this guide. Compare Futures Prop's active offer records CFP for 50% off covered Futures purchase fees, confirmed by Yash R on 28 October 2026. That coupon confirmation is separate from the rules review.

What are the normal FundedNext Futures trading hours?

The usual permitted session runs from 5:00 PM CT to 3:10 PM CT the next day. The official Futures trading-platform rules publish this window and the Friday-to-Sunday break.

Point in the regular scheduleChicago clockPractical meaning
Session opens5:00 PM CTThe next permitted trading window starts
Required daily position close3:10 PM CT the following dayBe flat before this cutoff
Daily closed window3:10 PM to 5:00 PM CTWait for the permitted reopening
Weekend closureFriday 3:10 PM to Sunday 5:00 PM CTDo not plan to carry a position across the break

These are FundedNext's published account hours. A chart displaying exchange prices outside that window is not permission to trade the account. The source also lists Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView, with TradingView trades routed through Tradovate. Whichever interface you choose, compare its displayed clock with Chicago time before setting reminders.

Do Challenge and FundedNext Accounts use different closing deadlines?

The official trading-hours article applies the same closing schedule to both Challenge Accounts and FundedNext Accounts. Passing a challenge does not grant permission to hold through the daily break.

That shared clock does not make the two account stages identical. Challenge objectives and funded reward conditions still belong to the selected product. For broader context, see the FundedNext Futures account review.

Account stageSession-close checkSeparate information to record
ChallengeConfirm the permitted cutoff before tradingCurrent challenge objectives, loss limits and contract allowance
FundedNext AccountConfirm the permitted cutoff before tradingFunded loss limits and reward-request conditions

This table is a recordkeeping framework, not a new account rule. Keep the current dashboard and agreement beside your session plan so that a correct closing time is not confused with permission to ignore another condition.

What does the Chicago cutoff mean in UTC and India?

The Indian clock time changes by one hour when Chicago switches between daylight and standard time. Use the America/Chicago time zone rather than fixing an alarm to a permanent UTC offset.

The following conversions are calculated examples for regular sessions. “Next day” refers to the Indian calendar date after the stated Chicago date.

Chicago time regimeDaily cutoff in UTCDaily cutoff in India, ISTReopening in UTCReopening in India, IST
CDT, UTC minus 5 hours20:1001:40 next day22:0003:30 next day
CST, UTC minus 6 hours21:1002:40 next day23:0004:30 next day

For example, 28 October 2026 at 3:10 PM in Chicago converts to 29 October at 1:40 AM IST. On 2 November 2026, the same Chicago cutoff converts to 3 November at 2:40 AM IST.

NIST's daylight-saving rules confirm that U.S. daylight saving ends on 1 November in 2026. These conversions use the dated Chicago time-zone offset; they are calculations, not additional trading windows.

A useful calendar entry includes the Chicago date, local date, time-zone name and the action required. A label such as “close Monday” is ambiguous when your local cutoff falls early on Tuesday.

Can a holiday session close before 3:10 PM CT?

Yes. FundedNext says it communicates holiday adjustments and warns that its usual automatic close may not operate at an early holiday close. Its official trading-hours guidance tells traders to close positions themselves before that earlier deadline.

Use the CME Group trading-hours calendar to look up the exact date and product, then compare it with FundedNext's account notice. CME provides product filters and distinguishes trading, paused and closed states. An exchange timetable describes the exchange; the firm's notice describes what is permitted on your account.

Before a holiday session:

  1. Save the FundedNext notice and identify the affected date.
  2. Find the relevant futures product in the exchange calendar.
  3. Write the account's permitted close in Chicago time.
  4. Convert that dated time into your local zone.
  5. Move your personal reminders to match the earlier session.

This is a suggested preparation routine. It does not announce a particular holiday cutoff. If the account notice and the calendar leave the permitted time unclear, get clarification from official support before placing a position that would depend on that uncertainty.

How can you build a practical session-close routine?

Use two checkpoints: one to stop initiating trades and another to verify that positions and orders are cleared. The lead time is a personal operating choice, not an extra FundedNext requirement.

For a normal 3:10 PM close, an illustrative routine could stop new entries at 2:55 PM and begin the final check at 3:05 PM. Move both checkpoints earlier when a holiday notice requires it. A trader using a slower connection may choose a wider buffer.

At the final check, review the account selector, open positions and working orders. After closing a position, verify the resulting position quantity rather than relying only on a submitted-order message. Review remaining working orders separately; this guide does not assume a universal automatic cancellation rule for every order type.

If you manage several accounts, tick off each account individually. A flat position display on one account does not establish the state of another. The own-account copy-trading checklist provides related account-management context.

Should you rely on automatic liquidation at the regular cutoff?

FundedNext describes automatic closure of positions at the normal cutoff, while its general Futures FAQ still assigns monitoring responsibility to the trader.

Treat manual confirmation as part of finishing the session. Afterward, save the execution record and check for unexpected residual positions or working orders. If the display appears inconsistent, record the account, instrument, order identifiers and timestamps for support.

This routine is an editorial suggestion. It does not promise a particular execution price or make a connection failure harmless.

How do you apply CFP without confusing the discount with trading permission?

CFP is the FundedNext Futures discount code listed by Compare Futures Prop for 50% off covered purchase fees. It changes the purchase calculation, while the selected account's trading schedule and conditions remain in place.

  1. Open the current FundedNext Futures CFP offer.
  2. In the official dashboard, choose Futures, the model and size, then proceed to the order.
  3. Enter CFP in the coupon field and apply it.
  4. Review the discount, full payable amount and separate charges before payment.
  5. Record the purchased model and read its current rules before trading.

The official payment guide explains the dashboard purchase flow. A mathematical example is simple: a covered $100 fee reduced by 50% becomes $50. That is an illustration, not a quoted current account price. For plan calculations, use the Flex price-calculator guide alongside the live order summary.

What should your session record contain?

Record enough detail to reconstruct the decision later: account identifier, product, Chicago date, local date, published cutoff, source notice and final position check. Keep the coupon receipt in the purchase record and the trading-hours notice in the session record.

This separates three different facts: what you paid, what account you bought and when that account permits trading. A reliable close routine gives each fact its own evidence.
