Maven Omo allows unrestricted news trading in its two evaluation phases, but funded news profit is capped at 0.50% of account balance per event. A strategy that passes through a few large announcement wins therefore needs a separate funded-stage review. The cap concerns recognized profit; it is not a promise of cash payment.

Verified code: AUDIT gives 10% off eligible Maven Forex account purchase fees. The current Maven offer contains the verified coupon's purchase scope. This article checks official rules and regular prices on 11 October 2026.

Code: AUDIT

Identify the stage before reviewing a news trade

The Omo-specific FAQ explicitly distinguishes evaluation from funding. Funded profit above the event cap does not count toward the balance. Its funded holding requirement is 150 seconds, and each stage requires four days earning at least 0.5% each.

The Omo product page lists 6% and 8% phase targets, 8% maximum loss and 4% daily loss. Passing those stages does not establish that a historical session would receive identical credit after funding.

Before comparing performance, label each exported statement with its model, stage and rule version. Keep the original report unchanged and do hypothetical adjustments in a separate copy. This preserves the difference between actual platform history and your own planning exercise.

Recalculate a sample session by event

Assume Maven confirms a $20,000 balance basis and identifies two distinct qualifying news events. The arithmetic ceiling is $20,000 × 0.005 = $100 per event. For this illustration, all positions meet other requirements and there are no additional costs or adjustments.

Hypothetical resultPlatform profitProfit after this cap only
Event A$160$100
Event B$65$65
Other eligible activity$210$210
Total$435$375

The difference is $60. A personal budget built from the $435 headline would already be overstated before considering a reward share or withdrawal review. Keep the rejected portion visible in the planning worksheet rather than quietly deleting it from the original trade history.

What if both news records belong to one event?

Suppose the same $225 combined news result belongs to one event instead. Its capped contribution in this simplified example becomes $100, leaving $310 after adding the separate $210. That is $65 less than the two-event scenario.

Event classification therefore matters. Splitting an order into several tickets cannot be assumed to create several allowances. Ask Maven to classify an unclear sequence instead of treating every trade identifier as an independent event. These examples are arithmetic comparisons, not instructions to increase exposure or manufacture extra event categories.

Resolve the details a percentage cannot answer

The public Omo answer leaves operational questions that matter when reproducing a real adjustment. Before building a precise forecast, obtain account-specific clarification on:

  • Which announcements and instruments enter the event calculation
  • The exact start and end of its time window
  • How overlapping releases and multiple positions are grouped
  • Which balance timestamp supplies the percentage basis
  • How costs, losses and partial closes affect the recognized amount

Do not import another firm's five-minute window or a Standard-account restriction into Omo without confirmation. Preserve the response with the relevant account number and rule date. If clarification changes the assumptions in a worksheet, rerun every affected event rather than editing only the final total.

A useful historical review also separates ordinary sessions from announcement-dependent sessions. Compare how much of the strategy's recorded result survives the confirmed treatment. That exercise can reveal whether the funded rules fit the intended approach without making a prediction about future returns.

Check the day total after event adjustments

An event result and a qualifying day should have separate fields. For a hypothetical $20,000 basis, 0.5% is $100. Suppose a $150 event winner is recognized at $100, then an unrelated eligible trade loses $40. The adjusted daily total is $60, even though the unadjusted statement shows $110.

This example assumes the stated basis and those recognized amounts. Use the dashboard's actual day classification; do not mark a day complete simply because one event reached its allowance. Nor should a shortfall become a reason to take an unplanned trade near session close.

Record opening and closing timestamps as well as event labels. A longer holding time does not by itself settle event classification, and an apparently acceptable event result does not resolve every other account condition. Keep loss-limit checks and request eligibility alongside the performance review.

For wider product context, use the Maven Trading review. The Instant open-loss guide concerns a different account model and should not supply Omo's rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Omo FAQ permits news trading without restrictions during Phase 1 and Phase 2. It introduces the 0.50% per-event profit cap in the funded stage.

Do not assume that. The published unit is the event. Ask Maven how it groups the actual releases and positions in your account.

The FAQ says account balance. Confirm the applicable balance timestamp rather than treating a starting-size example as a permanent dollar allowance.

This guide does not claim that. AUDIT is the verified 10% offer, while Maven currently advertises a separate public promotion with lower displayed prices. Compare eligible checkout totals.
