Tradeify Select Flex or Select Daily? The Permanent Funded-Path Decision Explained
Passing a Tradeify Select evaluation creates an unusually important decision: the trader must choose either the Select Flex five-day payout policy or the Select Daily payout policy for the funded account. Tradeify states that this choice is permanent for that account.
This is not simply a choice between “slow” and “fast” payouts. It changes the daily loss control, buffer requirement, payout caps and the way a trader should manage profit between requests. The best route depends on trading frequency, average winning-day size and tolerance for tighter risk limits.
Rule check: Tradeify's official Help Center was reviewed on August 27, 2026. Policies can change and the dashboard attached to an account is controlling.
When Does the Trader Make the Choice?
The decision comes after the trader successfully passes a Select evaluation. The evaluation itself uses its own rules, including an end-of-day drawdown structure and a 40% best-day consistency calculation.
After passing, the trader chooses the funded payout policy. Tradeify's official Select Flex and Select Daily policy guide says the selection cannot later be switched on that account.
This makes planning before the evaluation is complete worthwhile. A trader should know which funded route fits the strategy before the selection screen appears.
Select Flex in Plain English
Select Flex is the five-winning-day path. It is designed for traders who prefer to accumulate profit for larger, less frequent withdrawal requests.
Its defining features are:
- Payout eligibility after five qualifying winning days
- End-of-day drawdown
- No daily loss limit
- No funded consistency percentage
- Higher account-size-based payout caps than the Daily route
- A requirement for positive net profit in each later payout cycle
Tradeify's published policy lists first-route caps of up to 50% of profit, subject to size-based maximums. For Select accounts from 25K through 150K, the stated caps are $1,250, $3,000, $4,000 and $5,000. The exact winning-day threshold also depends on account size.
Flex can suit traders who do not produce a withdrawable amount every day but can build a consistent series of qualifying sessions.
Select Daily in Plain English
Select Daily is designed for more frequent access to smaller amounts of profit. Eligibility can be daily once the account is above its required buffer, but the policy adds tighter risk controls.
Its defining features are:
- Daily payout eligibility after the buffer condition is met
- End-of-day maximum drawdown
- A daily loss limit
- A required buffer
- Smaller size-based maximum payout amounts
- A new-profit rule for later payout cycles
The published Daily caps for 25K through 150K Select accounts are $600, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,500. The corresponding daily loss limits are $500, $1,000, $1,250 and $1,750, while the stated buffers are $1,100, $2,100, $2,600 and $3,600.
The Daily route can provide faster access, but it offers less room for a volatile intraday swing.
The Biggest Difference: Risk Freedom vs Withdrawal Speed
A trader deciding between the two paths should start with risk behavior rather than payout marketing.
Flex removes the daily loss limit
There is still a maximum drawdown, so the account does not have unlimited risk. However, the absence of a separate daily stop gives the trader more discretion over how losses are distributed within the remaining drawdown.
This can fit a strategy with occasional larger intraday fluctuations, provided the trader has a disciplined personal stop.
Daily adds a hard daily control
The Daily route includes a specific daily loss limit. That reduces the amount the strategy can lose in one session even when the overall maximum drawdown still has room.
A high-variance strategy can hit the daily control before its longer-term trade thesis has time to work. A lower-variance strategy may find the limit acceptable in exchange for more frequent payout eligibility.
Payout Caps Change the Economics
Daily access is not automatically better if the trader regularly builds profit larger than the Daily cap. A trader who wants to withdraw several thousand dollars at once may find Flex more efficient.
Conversely, a trader whose typical net winning day is a few hundred dollars may not benefit from waiting for a larger Flex cap. Daily can align access with the natural pace of the strategy.
Estimate three numbers from a realistic trading journal:
- Average profitable-day amount after commissions
- Expected number of qualifying days per month
- Typical drawdown during a normal session
Then compare those figures with the route's qualifying threshold, cap and daily loss limit.
The Shared New-Profit Requirement
Tradeify states that after the first payout, both Select paths require positive net profit for the new payout cycle. A trader who loses money immediately after withdrawing must first recover the cycle loss and become net positive again.
This rule prevents a trader from repeatedly requesting money based only on old profits. It applies to both Flex and Daily, even though the schedules and caps differ.
The correct question is therefore not only “When is the next request date?” It is also “Has this cycle produced fresh positive net profit?”
Understanding the Daily Buffer
The Daily buffer is a balance threshold that must be cleared before daily withdrawals become available. It protects the account's drawdown cushion after money is removed.
Suppose a Daily account reaches the buffer and then produces additional profit. The trader should calculate the payout without reducing the balance into unsafe territory. A request that uses every available dollar can leave too little room for commissions or the next session's normal movement.
Flex does not use the same Daily buffer requirement, but its five-winning-day gate and payout cap still control eligibility.
Drawdown Locking
Tradeify's official Select evaluation guide says the end-of-day drawdown floor locks at $100 above the starting balance when the required closing balance condition is reached.
This lock point can improve clarity because the floor stops following the account upward after the condition is satisfied. Traders should still use the dashboard value rather than calculating from memory, especially after a payout.
Which Path Fits Different Trader Profiles?
Flex may fit you if:
- Your results are uneven but profitable over several sessions
- You want no separate daily loss limit
- You prefer larger withdrawal caps
- You can wait for five qualifying winning days
- Your strategy sometimes needs wider intraday room
Daily may fit you if:
- Your strategy produces smaller, repeatable profits
- You value frequent access more than a larger cap
- You can operate comfortably inside the daily loss limit
- You can build and preserve the required buffer
- You prefer an external daily risk guardrail
Neither route fixes poor position sizing. Daily can still fail at the overall drawdown, while Flex can still be damaged by an oversized losing session.
A Pre-Selection Checklist
Before confirming the permanent policy, write down:
- Your account size
- The exact winning-day threshold for Flex
- The Daily buffer and daily loss limit
- The maximum request under each path
- Your 20-session average winning day
- Your worst normal intraday drawdown
- How often you actually need to withdraw
Use net results after fees and commissions. A route that looks attractive using gross P&L may not work with real trading costs.
What Happens If You Choose the Wrong Route?
Tradeify states that the selection cannot be changed on the same funded account. If a trader later decides the other policy is better, the practical route may require passing another eligible evaluation and making a different selection on the new account.
That is why the choice should be based on recorded strategy behavior rather than emotion immediately after passing.
Final Verdict
Select Flex favors larger, milestone-based withdrawals and wider daily freedom. Select Daily favors faster access but adds a buffer, smaller caps and a daily loss limit.
A trader with higher intraday variance and the patience to build five qualifying days will often find Flex more natural. A trader with steady, smaller winning days may find Daily more aligned. The decisive factor is not which policy sounds more generous; it is which one fits the strategy's actual P&L distribution while protecting the account.
