Boxcar Trading Review: Futures Accounts, Rules and AUDIT Code
Reviewed: 28 October 2026. CFP editorial rating: 4.1/5. CFP points: 85/100, equivalent to the site's 8.5/10 CFP score. These are editorial scores, separate from customer review ratings.
Boxcar Trading is a futures evaluation and simulated funding provider operated by Boxcar Trading Group LLC. The company states that it is registered in New York and headquartered at 450 Lexington Avenue, New York City. Its current Support Center says trading opened on 28 September 2026, ahead of the originally announced 1 October launch.
Three programs begin with a one-step evaluation: BoxcarPrime, BoxcarFlex and BoxcarPayout. BoxcarFunded skips evaluation and starts in simulated funding. All four offer $25K, $50K, $100K and $150K sizes. Initial funded accounts use virtual funds; approved performance payouts are real. A separately approved live account is a later opportunity.

Boxcar Trading at a Glance
An account label describes simulated parameters, not cash owned by the trader. Compare the permitted loss allowance with the fee and payout conditions.
AUDIT Coupon: Up to 40% Off All Accounts
Use Boxcar Trading coupon code AUDIT for up to 40% off on all accounts. The listing covers Prime, Flex, Payout and Funded purchases under the offer supplied to Compare Futures Prop.
“Up to 40%” is a maximum saving. The reduction can differ by plan, size and configuration. It is not a promise of exactly 40% on every order. This offer was supplied by the site owner; it has not been independently tested at checkout for this review. No expiry date was supplied.
- Open the official Boxcar website.
- Select the program and account size.
- Choose the drawdown, consistency and DLL options offered for that plan.
- Enter AUDIT in the checkout coupon field.
- Apply the code and inspect the actual saving and final charge.
- Read the selected account rules before paying.
The offer reduces an eligible purchase price. Do not assume it also discounts resets, data, taxes or optional services, or stacks with another promotion unless checkout confirms that treatment.
Account Plans Compared
Prime suits traders who prioritize passing without evaluation consistency. Flex removes funded consistency but introduces position scaling and qualifying profit days. Payout offers frequent requests with intraday trailing risk and a funded news restriction. Funded removes the evaluation step but imposes the strictest payout consistency.

Pricing by Account Size
These are one-time list-price snapshots before coupons. Prime, Flex and Payout rows below have the optional DLL switched off; Flex and Payout use the default 40% evaluation consistency. Payout uses EOD evaluation drawdown. Funded has its own built-in size-specific DLL rules.
Other pre-coupon configurations:
Adding a DLL lowers the purchase price on the three evaluation programs and fixes a different risk configuration. Prices above come from the official site's active pricing configuration reviewed on 28 October 2026. Public promotions and options can change the final total. No flat 40% AUDIT price has been calculated because the supplied offer says “up to.”

Evaluation Targets and Position Limits
Prime, Flex and Payout share these size-based evaluation parameters:
Mini and micro limits share one combined allowance at 10 micros per mini. A four-mini allowance does not also permit 40 additional micros. Flex's funded starting allowance is lower than its evaluation maximum.
Prime can pass in one trading day if every rule is satisfied. Flex and Payout consistency choices are fixed at purchase. Evaluations have no completion deadline, but inactivity can still remove an account.

Drawdown and Daily Loss Limits
EOD trailing drawdown updates from qualifying session closing balances. Intraday trailing drawdown follows real-time highs, including open profit. EOD accounts can still breach during a session: open losses count against the current loss floor.
The loss floor never decreases and normally stops at starting balance plus $100. Touching it is an account breach. A selected DLL instead closes positions and pauses trading until the next session; the DLL alone does not end the account. The maximum-loss floor can be reached first.
Prime and Flex use EOD in evaluation and simulated funding. Payout offers an evaluation choice but always changes to intraday in simulated funding. Funded uses EOD.
The purchased DLL setting carries from evaluation to funded. Flex and Payout retain fixed DLL amounts. On applicable Prime funded and BoxcarFunded accounts, the DLL changes to 60% of peak EOD profit after the specified initial trail is cleared, and can only increase. The $25K BoxcarFunded account has no DLL.

Consistency Calculations
Largest profitable day's net profit ÷ total net profit in the relevant evaluation or payout cycle × 100.
Commissions and losing days affect total net profit. A loss can increase the percentage. Missing consistency delays passing or payout eligibility; it is not itself a maximum-loss breach.
Prime has no evaluation consistency and 40% funded consistency. Flex and Payout evaluations offer an exact 40% ceiling or a nominal 50% option with a two-percentage-point cushion, giving a 52% ceiling. Their funded stages have no consistency rule. Funded applies 20% in each payout cycle.
For illustration, a $1,000 best day requires at least $2,500 total net profit at 40%, or $5,000 at 20%. The separate target and all other rules still apply.
Source: consistency rules.
BoxcarPrime Payout Rules
Prime retains full position limits in simulated funding.
The 40% consistency requirement applies each cycle. A small cycle goal does not mean that amount is withdrawable: the retained balance and $500 request minimum also apply. For example, a $25K account needs at least $26,600 to request $500 and leave $26,100.
Source: Prime payout terms.
BoxcarFlex Payouts and Position Scaling
Flex was previously called BoxcarScale. Simulated funding removes consistency and an additional payout buffer, while requiring five qualifying profit days per cycle and a net-positive cycle.
A request is limited to 50% of remaining account profit, including carried profit, and the size cap. At least $1,000 remaining profit is needed to support the $500 minimum request.
Position tiers change at session end and can fall after losses or payouts. Requesting a payout locks the loss floor at starting balance plus $100. Consequently, “no buffer” does not remove loss-floor protection or make the entire balance withdrawable.
Source: Flex rules and scaling tiers.
BoxcarPayout: Daily Requests and Intraday Risk
Payout's simulated-funded account has no consistency requirement or position scaling. Eligible traders can request daily, with no separate per-request cap on available profit above the retained balance.
Funded drawdown always trails intraday, including unrealized gains. The cycle must be net positive. Funded traders must remain flat from one minute before until one minute after high-impact USD news; violating this window breaches the account. The special restriction does not apply to Payout evaluation.
Source: Payout rules.
BoxcarFunded: Direct Simulated Funding
Funded skips evaluation, with EOD drawdown and full position sizing.
Each cycle has 20% consistency. Current official explanatory text says there is no additional minimum-day rule; the percentage mathematically requires at least five profitable days. The account's own purchased terms govern.
Source: Funded rules.
Payout Requests, Split and Delivery
Submit requests through Payouts in My Portal, using the gross amount. Identity, payee and WorkMarket setup may be required. An approved $1,000 request deducts $1,000 from the account and pays the trader $900. Evaluation profits cannot be withdrawn.
Boxcar lists domestic U.S. bank payments via Plaid, international bank payments via WorkMarket by ADP, and crypto. It describes instant domestic payments and two-day international processing, with no Boxcar payout fee. These are provider processing statements, not guaranteed approval or arrival times. “Approved” and “Processing” differ from “Paid.”
Each account can have one open request. The minimum is $500 gross, and plan-specific caps, retained balances, current-cycle rules and review still apply.

Platforms, Products, VPS and Data
Boxcar uses Rithmic. Listed compatible platforms include Rithmic Trader Pro, NinjaTrader, MotiveWave, Quantower, Sierra Chart, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS and MultiCharts. Follow the account's setup instructions and confirm any product-specific license or add-on requirements.
Supported markets include approved futures on CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX across equity indexes, currencies, energy, metals and agricultural products. Contract commissions reduce net results; consult the live approved-symbol and fee schedule.
A Chicago trading VPS is advertised as included. Current support lists optional Level II depth data at $13/month for CME or $39/month for all four exchanges. A one-time account fee therefore does not mean every optional service is free.

Trading Permissions and Restrictions
- Own automated strategies, VPS use and copying across the trader's own accounts are permitted, within each account's limits.
- DCA, staged entries and genuine scalping are allowed.
- News trading is allowed on Prime, Flex, Funded and Payout evaluations, subject to the Payout funded exception.
- Brief trades can count as trading activity, but cannot replace a required qualifying profit day.
- Opposing positions in the same exact contract are prohibited; cross-account opposing trades in the same or correlated products are also prohibited. The official rules allow certain different-product and mini/micro combinations within one evaluation or simulated account.
- Simulated-fill exploitation, delayed-price exploitation and prohibited high-frequency activity are not allowed.
More than 50% of profit from trades held five seconds or less can trigger microscalping review. That flag alone is not automatic forfeiture or a drawdown breach. The published process provides human review, a warning for confirmed activity and potential further action for continuation.

Sessions, Inactivity, Eligibility and Resets
Evaluation and simulated-funded positions must be flat by 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday–Friday. Normal Monday–Thursday reopening is 6 p.m. ET when the contract is open. Do not hold through the daily close or weekend; exchange holidays can require earlier closing. Eastern Time changes with U.S. daylight saving.
Unlimited evaluations are permitted, with up to five active funded accounts across plans. Additional direct-funded purchases can remain in reserve. Every account needs a completed trade with at least $1 net profit or loss within 30 calendar days or it risks removal.
Participants must be at least 18 and eligible under the firm's location and verification rules. Country availability should be confirmed directly; this review does not assert universal access.
Eligible evaluations and purchased direct-funded accounts have reset routes. Earned funded accounts that breach require a new evaluation; live accounts cannot reset. Exact reset fees appear in the portal.
Sources: hours, account and activity limits, eligibility terms, reset policy.
Live Progression and Remaining Simulated Profit
Prime, Flex and Funded permit a maximum of five approved payouts per individual simulated-funded account before review; earlier live selection is possible. Approval and separate onboarding are required. Remaining simulated profits on these three plans are forfeited after any eligible final payout is separately settled.
Payout uses performance-based review, including size-based single-day profit triggers. Its eligible transition profit above the retained buffer is limited to $15,000 combined across Payout accounts, subject to the split and onboarding.
Live accounts use separate loss and exchange-specific position schedules. Household simulated trading stops during live participation. Review this policy before building balances around an assumed number of future simulated payouts.

Refunds and Support
Evaluation fees generally become final after access is delivered, subject to the firm's stated exceptions and mandatory consumer rights. A failed evaluation or correctly applied breach does not make the fee refundable. Review the policy before using an account.
Support is available through the official Support Center, website contact channels and [email protected]. No independently measured support response time is claimed here.

Pros, Cons and CFP Verdict
Strengths include one-time evaluation fees, multiple rule choices, a 90% approved payout share, Rithmic platform access, included VPS, own-account automation and copying, and a direct simulated-funded route.
Tradeoffs include a short operating history, several distinct payout formulas, strict direct-funded consistency, loss-floor effects after withdrawals, Payout's intraday funded drawdown and news window, and forfeiture of remaining simulated profits on three plans at live transition.
CFP rating: 4.1/5. CFP points: 85/100. Boxcar is a relevant option for futures traders who can choose a specific rule set and manage the usable loss allowance. Its recent launch limits long-term evidence. This is a desk review of published terms, not an independently completed trading or payout test; the editorial scores do not certify solvency or guarantee payment.
Use AUDIT for up to 40% off on all accounts, and confirm the actual eligible saving before payment. Prices and policies reflect sources reviewed on 28 October 2026. Purchase-specific terms and the separate live agreement control the applicable account.
