TradeDay Profit Target, Drawdown and Daily Loss Explained
- Profit target: 6% ($3,000 on 50K, $6,000 on 100K, $9,000 on 150K)
- Maximum loss: $2,000 on 50K; $3,000 on 100K; $4,500 on 150K
- Drawdown calculation: trailing
- Daily loss: No separate mandatory DLL; maximum drawdown is the primary hard rule
- Minimum days: 5 Quick Pay; 3 Fast Pass
- Consistency: Traders must use the evaluation or payout percentage attached to the exact account type; exceeding an objective normally extends qualification unless the agreement calls it a breach.
A trader should calculate the real risk allowance from the maximum-loss amount, not the advertised nominal account balance. End-of-day trailing drawdown moves from closed daily highs, intraday trailing can move with open equity, and static drawdown stays fixed. These models produce very different trade-sizing requirements.
TradeDay Payout Eligibility Checklist
Before requesting a payout, confirm all of the following:
- The account is above its required buffer or safety-net balance.
- The minimum trading or profitable-day count is complete.
- The largest winning day is within the account's payout consistency percentage.
- New profit since the previous payout meets the minimum.
- The request is within the account-size minimum and maximum cap.
- All positions and pending orders are closed.
- KYC, account ownership and payout-provider checks are complete.
- No prohibited strategy, cross-account hedge, account sharing or market-data exploitation occurred.

Detailed TradeDay Verdict
TradeDay is a Chicago-based futures prop firm offering Quick Pay and Fast Pass one-step evaluations, followed by Funded Sim and a defined Funded Live route. Quick Pay provides early withdrawals but uses a lower split while the account is below its $4,000 profit threshold. Fast Pass has a shorter evaluation and structured five-day payout cycles. Both require traders to understand trailing drawdown, Tier-1 news restrictions and account-date payout rules.

Detailed Rules Snapshot
Additional Account-Type Rules
Quick Pay Evaluation
- One-step monthly evaluation in $50K, $100K and $150K sizes.
- 6% profit target.
- Five minimum trading days.
- 30% consistency objective.
- The trader can select intraday or EOD drawdown at purchase.
- Maximum drawdown: $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500.
- There is no separate mandatory DLL; the maximum drawdown is the hard rule.
- Exceeding consistency does not fail the account, but increases the profit required to pass.
- No activation fee after passing.
Quick Pay Funded Sim
- Funded Sim uses intraday trailing drawdown even if the evaluation used EOD.
- No payout buffer, no payout consistency and no qualifying-day sequence.
- First withdrawal can be requested after one funded trading day when the account is positive.
- Minimum request is $250.
- Profit below the $4,000 threshold is paid 50/50.
- Profit above $4,000 can receive 80/20 only when the payout also leaves the account above $4,000.
- A request crossing the threshold is split between 80/20 and 50/50 portions.
- Gross profit includes current profit plus prior payouts, and the TMD continues to trail from gross profit.
- At $10,000 gross profit, the account is paused for live review; excess profit above the threshold can be removed.
Fast Pass Evaluation
- One-step monthly evaluation in $50K, $100K and $150K sizes.
- 6% profit target.
- Three minimum trading days.
- 45% consistency objective.
- End-of-day trailing drawdown.
- Maximum drawdown: $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500.
- No activation fee after passing.
Fast Pass Funded Sim
- EOD trailing drawdown.
- No payout buffer.
- Five non-consecutive profitable days per cycle.
- Minimum profitable day: $150 on $50K, $200 on $100K and $250 on $150K.
- Minimum request is $250 and the account must show new net profit.
- 80/20 split.
- For accounts opened on or after July 26, 2026, 45% consistency applies to gross profit.
- Current newer-account caps: $1,500 on $50K, $1,850 on $100K and $2,250 on $150K.
- Each request is also limited to 50% of the account balance.
- The TMD locks to starting balance on the first payout if it has not already reached it.
- The fifth payout triggers a Funded Live transition; earlier promotion remains possible.
Drawdown and Breach Rules
The maximum drawdown is the primary hard rule. Quick Pay evaluation can use intraday or EOD trailing at purchase, while Fast Pass uses EOD. Quick Pay Funded Sim always uses intraday trailing; Fast Pass Funded Sim keeps EOD trailing.
Reaching or exceeding the maximum drawdown closes the account. TradeDay's platform can flatten positions for time and news restrictions, but traders remain responsible for closing orders and cannot rely on automatic liquidation to prevent a breach.
Payout Rules
Requests submitted before the published cutoff are generally processed by the next business day. US wires are free; international wires and some crypto networks carry fees. Rise onboarding is required.
Traders should stop trading after a payout request until it is completed. A new Fast Pass payout cycle starts with the next full eligible trading session, not during the session in which payment arrives.
Trading Conditions
- Permitted CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX futures only.
- Overnight trading within the same market session is allowed.
- Positions and working orders must be closed at least 10 minutes before the product's market close.
- Weekend holding is not permitted.
- Tier-1 news trading is restricted. TradeDay normally flattens two minutes before a listed release and reopens trading two minutes after.
- Funded accounts may not trade within 2% of an exchange price limit.
- Copy trading is allowed from a trader's own personal account into owned TradeDay accounts.
- Hedging the same product long and short across accounts is prohibited.
- Automated trading can be used within the policy, but HFT, more than 200 trades per day, seconds-long tick capture and simulated-fill exploitation are prohibited.
Platforms, Markets and Costs
TradeDay supports Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView through a compatible connection, Jigsaw and Quantower. Multiple accounts must remain on one platform.
Evaluations are monthly subscriptions. A breach can be restarted through a paid reset or the next subscription renewal under the current policy. TradeDay does not add a separate commission above the broker schedule, but simulated exchange, clearing, NFA and brokerage commissions are included in P&L.
Account Limits and Live Progression
A trader may hold up to six total accounts, with three active Funded Sim accounts and additional passed accounts queued. Up to five Funded Live accounts are allowed. Only one user profile per household is permitted.
Quick Pay is normally reviewed for live at $10,000 gross profit per account. Fast Pass moves to Funded Live on the fifth payout request, although consistent traders can be promoted earlier. Funded Live starts at $0 with its own trailing drawdown, reserve and position limits.
Country Restrictions, Compliance and Refunds
Country restrictions, broker availability, KYC and Rise eligibility apply. Traders are independent contractors rather than employees. Evaluation subscriptions, resets and used services are generally non-refundable; abusive strategy findings can also forfeit funded profit.
Who TradeDay Is Best For
Quick Pay suits traders who value immediate payout access and can manage intraday drawdown plus the lower below-buffer split. Fast Pass is better for traders who prefer EOD drawdown, a shorter evaluation and predictable five-day payout cycles.
Final Review
TradeDay has a strong operating history and a genuine simulated-to-live structure. The main trade-offs are clear: Quick Pay offers speed but a 50% split below its threshold, while Fast Pass offers an 80% split but adds qualifying days, caps and newer-account consistency. Traders should select the plan by funded-stage rules, not evaluation price alone.
