Quick answer: Alpha Futures permits a signal-generating indicator when the trader personally places, monitors and manages the trade and understands the tool. Its rules prohibit AI, bots and fully automated execution. A system that can trade unattended should not be treated as permitted merely because it produces few trades or runs on a supported platform.

Verified code: COMPARE, up to 50% off eligible Alpha Futures accounts. The maximum is conditional on the selected purchase. See the current Alpha Futures offer.

Official rules and regular product fees checked 11 October 2026. The examples below explain operating decisions; they are not approval of a particular trading tool.

Separate a signal from an order

The official prohibited-practices policy distinguishes qualifying semi-automated signal tools from hands-off trading. It also rejects very high-frequency activity around 100 or more trades a day, whether automated or manual. Staying below that volume does not create an automation exception.

A useful assessment starts with the whole instruction path. What produces the idea? Who decides to trade? What transmits the order? Who supervises the position afterwards? Those questions reveal more than a product label such as “assistant,” “indicator” or “copier.”

Consider two hypothetical configurations using the same chart alert. In one, the alert draws a marker; the trader reviews the setup and independently enters a chosen quantity. In the other, a webhook sends the alert to an order engine that enters immediately. The chart may look identical, but responsibility for execution is different.

The examples illustrate the distinction; the firm decides whether an actual setup complies. Do not assume a vendor's description establishes permission.

Inspect entry, management and exit separately

A strategy can require a manual click at entry while leaving later decisions to software. Reviewing only the opening action misses that distinction.

List what happens at each stage:

StageQuestion to answer before using the tool
SignalDoes it provide information or initiate an instruction?
EntryDoes the trader choose and place the order?
Position managementWho changes quantity, risk or order placement?
ExitWhat decisions occur automatically, and under which settings?
DisconnectionWhat continues if the trader leaves or loses access?

For example, clicking “enable” at the start of a session is not the same practical action as reviewing each proposed trade. Likewise, a notification that arrives after an order has been submitted does not establish that the trader approved the order beforehand.

An ordinary protective order and a strategy that continuously generates new entries may be different configurations. The public policy does not resolve every platform feature by name. For an ambiguous tool, obtain written clarification about its exact behavior before connecting it to an account.

Do not confuse own-account copying with a trading robot

Alpha Futures' copy-trading policy allows copying when one individual, who is the person registered on the accounts, executes the trades. Automated, group and reverse trading remain prohibited.

The same page recommends using the smallest or least-capitalized account as leader and warns that different buying power can prevent trades from copying. It also says the firm cannot fix copier problems. Availability of a copier in the platform therefore does not guarantee either identical execution or a remedy after a failure.

As a practical example, imagine a manual source order reaches one follower but another follower rejects it. A source position alone no longer describes the whole setup. The trader needs to inspect each account's actual position and working orders. Automatically assuming all followers are flat after closing the leader can leave an unintended exposure.

This example concerns operational awareness, not a workaround for the account rules. Do not connect accounts belonging to other people or reverse the direction to manufacture an offset.

Ask a specific tool question before purchasing

A useful clarification request describes the tool's actions without sharing credentials or proprietary source code unnecessarily.

For example: “This indicator displays a signal. I decide whether to trade and manually submit the order. It also has an optional setting that automatically re-enters after a stop. Is the configuration with that setting disabled permitted, and are any other functions restricted?”

That question identifies the consequential behavior. “Is this platform allowed?” is broader and may produce an answer about supported software rather than strategy permission.

Retain the response with the tool version and settings it describes. If an update adds automatic entries or changes order handling, the old answer may no longer match the configuration. Revisit the question before using the changed behavior.

The prohibited-practices page warns that violations can void affected profit, prevent qualification or end the agreement. A passed profit objective therefore does not settle whether the trading method was acceptable.

Price the account after checking method fit

The official Standard and Zero pages publish the following initial monthly evaluation fees. Each discounted figure assumes that the selected account qualifies for COMPARE's full 50% maximum.

PlanSizeRegular initial monthly feeCodeDiscount assumptionConditional savingsConditional initial payment
Standard$50,000$129.00COMPARE50% if eligible$64.50$64.50
Standard$100,000$239.00COMPARE50% if eligible$119.50$119.50
Zero$25,000$89.00COMPARE50% if eligible$44.50$44.50
Zero$50,000$139.00COMPARE50% if eligible$69.50$69.50

Amounts are USD. These are conditional calculations, not confirmed plan-specific coupon eligibility. A smaller accepted reduction produces a higher payment. No discount is assumed on software licenses, resets, renewals, taxes or other separate charges.

The selected agreement controls later billing. Public product descriptions and the firm's subscription help page have differed on Qualified billing; the full Alpha Futures review explains that unresolved issue. Do not budget a Qualified subscription from this initial-payment table.

Apply COMPARE and preserve the configuration

  1. Confirm that the intended trading method fits the firm's published rules.
  2. Choose the account model, size and supported platform.
  3. Enter COMPARE before payment.
  4. Check the actual accepted discount and full order total.
  5. Save the purchase terms and any tool-specific support clarification.
  6. Review settings again before the first session and after relevant software changes.

The platform-connection guide answers how TradingView connects; this article answers who must control trading decisions. The contract-scaling guide covers the separate quantity restriction.

No. The automation prohibition is separate from the firm's high-frequency restrictions. A small number of unattended automatic entries is not made permissible by staying below a volume threshold.

The copy policy permits one registered individual to execute trades across that individual's accounts, while preserving the prohibition on automated, group and reverse trading. It does not authorize a robot to originate trades.

No. The current offer is up to 50% off eligible purchases. The maximum and plan eligibility must be confirmed in the selected checkout.
