Quick answer: Blue Guardian Futures publishes trading charges per side, so a completed entry and exit normally involves both sides of the quoted cost. Ten micro contracts can have the same index-price exposure as one corresponding mini while generating a different total fee. Reconcile charges from actual filled quantities before evaluating net trading results.

Coupon summary: Verified code CFP provides 45% off eligible initial Blue Guardian Futures account purchase fees, through the Futures offer. The purchase discount is separate from trade execution charges.

Official trading-cost information reviewed: 9 October 2026. The worked figures use the firm's published instrument schedule. Confirm the schedule applicable to your selected connection and account before relying on a cost estimate.

Start with the per-side schedule

The official instrument list lists a total cost per side of $2.88 for ES and NQ, $0.80 for MES, and $0.95 for MNQ. The following calculations assume the same rate applies on entry and exit.

InstrumentPublished cost per contract per sideEntry plus exit for one contract
ES$2.88$5.76
MES$0.80$1.60
NQ$2.88$5.76
MNQ$0.95$1.90

These are calculated round-trip totals from the published per-side schedule, not an estimate of all possible costs. Spread, slippage, data services and any different account-specific schedule need separate treatment. Do not add an imagined second commission on top of a column already described as total cost per side.

One mini and ten micros have different fee totals

For a completed ES position, one contract produces $5.76 in the table's round-trip charges. Ten MES contracts produce 10 × $1.60 = $16.00. The difference is $10.24 per completed equivalent-size position under those assumptions.

For NQ, one completed contract costs $5.76, while ten MNQ cost $19.00. The difference is $13.24.

That arithmetic does not make the larger contract universally preferable. Micros permit smaller increments and partial exits that one mini cannot replicate. Contract permission, remaining loss room and the intended position size remain separate decisions. Increasing exposure merely to reduce a fee percentage can create a much larger risk than the saving.

The mixed-contract capacity guide addresses position-count limits. This article focuses on what filled quantities cost, even when both proposed positions fit their allowed tiers.

Reconcile gross price movement with net results

CME explains the underlying calculation as ticks moved multiplied by tick value and contract quantity. For a simplified ES example, four favorable ticks at $12.50 per tick generate $50 gross on one contract.

After the published $5.76 round-trip charge, that becomes $44.24, before any additional cost not already included. Ten MES contracts produce the same $50 gross for the corresponding four-tick move, but the $16 scheduled round-trip cost leaves $34.00 under the same assumptions.

Illustrative completed positionGross resultScheduled entry-and-exit costResult after that cost
1 ES, four favorable ticks$50.00$5.76$44.24
10 MES, four favorable ticks$50.00$16.00$34.00

The example assumes identical entry and exit price movement. Real executions can differ. If your statement already reports net P&L, subtracting the same costs again would understate the result.

Partial exits change the execution record

Consider an order to buy four MES contracts, all filled, followed by exits of one, one and two contracts. The entry fills total four contracts and the exit fills total four. At $0.80 per contract per side, the schedule produces $3.20 entry cost plus $3.20 exit cost, or $6.40.

Do not count only the three exit instructions, or multiply by the number of chart buttons pressed. The relevant input for this calculation is executed contract quantity. An order may fill in pieces, while an unfilled order creates no completed contract side in this worksheet.

Record each execution's account, symbol, side, quantity, fill price and charge. Reconcile the closing position with the opening position so a missing exit or duplicated execution does not quietly alter the cost total.

Measure turnover without turning it into a target

A hypothetical twenty completed one-contract MES trades produce 20 × $1.60 = $32 in scheduled round-trip charges. Twenty equivalent ten-MES positions produce $320. The difference comes from quantity, despite both logs showing twenty “trades.”

For that reason, a cost journal should track completed contract turns as well as the number of strategy entries. It can then distinguish higher fees caused by more activity from higher fees caused by larger positions.

Use this information to assess the economics of an existing strategy. It is not a reason to force extra trades, recover fees through larger bets or trade close to a drawdown boundary. The Standard daily-stop guide covers the separate account-risk checks.

Keep data access outside the execution ledger

The official platform guide describes DeepCharts/DXFeed and Tradovate-based access separately. It lists optional data packages for DeepCharts. A data package belongs in the account's operating-cost budget; it should not be silently divided into an asserted universal commission rate.

Similarly, an initial account fee, a reset and a funded reactivation are separate purchases. CFP's initial-purchase offer does not establish a 45% reduction in per-side trading costs, exchange-data charges or later recovery payments.

Standard purchase prices with CFP

The official Futures selector, reviewed on 9 October 2026, lists these regular Standard account fees. The same page describes a one-time fee, no subscriptions and no activation fees. The table uses a single-account regular price and applies the verified CFP 45% purchase offer once.

PlanAccount sizeRegular price USDCodeDiscountSavings USDFinal base price USD
Standard$25K$154.00CFP45%$69.30$84.70
Standard$50K$209.00CFP45%$94.05$114.95
Standard$100K$330.00CFP45%$148.50$181.50
Standard$150K$424.00CFP45%$190.80$233.20

For the $50K example, $209 × 0.45 saves $94.05 and $209 × 0.55 gives a $114.95 base purchase price. These calculations use the current regular catalog fees.

The public BG25 sale and bundle pricing are not combined with CFP in these calculations. Confirm the exact account and available platform in the order. Optional platform services, add-ons, market data, taxes, conversion charges and later reset or reactivation payments remain separate unless expressly included. The initial-purchase discount does not establish a reduction in execution costs or other later charges.

Apply the code and retain both records

  1. Select the Futures model, size and platform on the official site.
  2. Review the applicable trading-cost schedule and account rules.
  3. Enter CFP and confirm the 45% reduction on the eligible purchase fee.
  4. Save the full order separately from the execution-cost journal.
  5. Reconcile the first statement before extending a cost estimate across many trades.

Frequently Asked Questions

The official instrument table labels them total cost per side. The article doubles those rates for a one-contract entry and exit, assuming the same applicable rate on both sides.

Under the published schedule used here, one ES round trip calculates to $5.76 and ten MES round trips to $16.00. Equivalent price exposure does not establish identical fees.

Sum actual filled contract quantities on entry and exit, using the applicable per-side rate. Do not count order instructions as if each always represented one contract.

The verified offer covers eligible initial account purchase fees. No reduction in trading charges is established by that offer.

The official Standard selector checked on 9 October 2026 lists a $209 regular fee. CFP at 45% saves $94.05, producing a calculated $114.95 base fee before separately applicable charges. This is a catalog-based calculation, not a completed checkout test.
