Quick answer: Before your first Lucid trade, match the purchased data feed to the platform, complete that provider’s setup and use the trading credentials assigned to the account. A successful website login is not the same as a working trading-platform connection.

Verified code: AUDIT. Save up to 40%: 40% on LucidDaily and 30% on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect. See the current Lucid Trading offer for the purchase scope.

Code: AUDIT

Facts checked: 6 October 2026. Prices are USD. This site may earn a commission from referred purchases. Evaluation fees buy access to a trading program; passing and payouts are not guaranteed.

Start with the account you actually purchased

Record the program, size, configuration, data provider and account identifier from the order. Keep passwords out of that checklist. This small inventory prevents a common operational mistake: following instructions for a different provider because the charting application looks familiar.

The Lucid Trading review explains the account families. This guide focuses on the connection sequence after choosing an account, rather than ranking the plans or recommending a platform based on appearance.

Match the platform to the feed

Lucid’s supported-platform page separates its connections into two groups:

Purchased connectionListed platform examplesFirst question
CQGTradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingViewHave you completed the initial Tradovate login?
RithmicR Trader Pro, Quantower, MotiveWave, Sierra Chart, BookmapHave the required Rithmic agreements been completed?

The full official list includes additional Rithmic applications. Compatibility does not establish that every commercial software feature or license is included in the account fee. Identify any software cost separately before subscribing to an optional service.

Follow the correct first-login sequence

The official Lucid setup guide directs new CQG users to sign in to Tradovate first, even when they ultimately intend to use NinjaTrader or TradingView. It directs Rithmic users to complete their trading agreements before moving to a supported platform. The guide also locates order history and account-performance information in Lucid’s portal.

For CQG, begin with the credentials issued by Lucid and complete the initial provider flow. Then connect the chosen compatible application. For Rithmic, finish the provider’s agreements and use the assigned trading credentials in the supported application. Avoid creating an unrelated personal brokerage login to solve an account-specific access problem.

Keep three different things separate

A purchase receipt proves which product was ordered. A portal login opens the website dashboard. A trading connection opens the account in the execution platform. These are related, but success at one step does not prove that the others are ready.

For example, seeing an order in the portal does not establish that a data agreement is complete. Conversely, seeing a chart does not prove that the account selected in the order panel is the intended Lucid evaluation. Check the account selector before considering any order.

Resolve connection problems without creating duplicate exposure

Use a written troubleshooting sequence: verify the account identifier, provider, selected connection environment and platform version; then compare the error with the official setup instructions. If support is needed, provide the order identifier and exact error, with secrets removed.

Do not use repeated live orders as a connection test. A delayed acknowledgment can leave an uncertain execution state. First establish whether an order exists and whether a position is open. This is general operational guidance, not a claim that any particular Lucid platform commonly loses orders.

If two applications are involved, investigate how the data provider supports simultaneous connections. Rithmic’s connection documentation describes Plugin Mode through R Trader Pro for that purpose. Follow the actual provider workflow rather than assuming two independent logins behave like two browser tabs.

LucidPro’s customization rules distinguish Daily Loss Limit On from Off. The On configuration costs less; Off costs more. The chosen configuration cannot be changed on an active account. A platform connection therefore cannot convert the purchased risk configuration into another one.

Current numeric selector prices were not exposed reliably in the public page used for this review. The following table gives the applicable calculation without pretending to quote a live account price:

PlanSizeRegular base priceCodeDiscountSavingsFinal base calculation
LucidDailySelected supported sizeCurrent selected base fee PAUDIT40%P × 0.40P × 0.60
LucidPro / Flex / DirectSelected supported sizeCurrent selected base fee PAUDIT30%P × 0.30P × 0.70

These are formulas, not quoted payable totals. DLL-Off upgrades and other optional charges need their own coupon-scope confirmation. A base-fee discount does not establish that every software subscription or surcharge receives the same reduction. See the Lucid account-cost guide for broader context, while using the current configuration when pricing a purchase.

Apply AUDIT and prepare a clean first session

  1. Select the Lucid program, size, risk configuration and data connection.
  2. Enter AUDIT in the coupon field before payment.
  3. Review the base fee separately from optional upgrades and services.
  4. Save the purchased configuration and issued account identifier.
  5. Complete the provider’s initial login or agreements.
  6. Confirm the correct account is selected in the execution platform.
  7. Review the current limits before trading.

The Lucid inactivity guide is a separate check after setup. Having working credentials does not itself establish that the account meets ongoing activity requirements. Likewise, a coupon changes the covered fee, not the trading rules.
