A Traders Launch payout does not lower a drawdown floor that has already locked at the account's starting balance. Withdrawing profit reduces the remaining cushion by the amount actually debited from the account. Before requesting a reward, calculate the post-payout balance and check the active floor. Verified code COMPARE gives 30% off covered futures evaluation purchases.

Official rules, FAQ answers and prices checked 11 October 2026. The current Traders Launch offer supplies the owner-confirmed coupon.

The floor can stop moving while the balance keeps changing

The official drawdown FAQ describes an end-of-day floor based on closing balances. It can rise but does not fall, and eventually locks at starting balance. The separate payout question explicitly says that withdrawing does not lower that locked floor.

Keep two fields in the account record: current balance and current floor. Their difference is the remaining balance cushion. The first can increase through profits or decrease through losses and withdrawals; the second follows the program's drawdown method. Treating both as if they move together can materially overstate the room remaining after a reward.

This article addresses the locked-floor effect. It does not claim that the entire displayed cushion can safely be risked on the next trade. Trading costs, execution uncertainty and other account restrictions still matter.

Follow the floor before it locks

For the Standard $100K account, the official pricing specification lists a $1,000 EOD drawdown allowance. The following simplified sequence applies that published structure to hypothetical closing balances:

Hypothetical checkpointClosing balanceCalculated floorBalance above floor
Starting point$100,000$99,000$1,000
Higher close$100,600$99,600$1,000
Lower close afterwards$100,300$99,600$700
Later close above lock point$101,200$100,000$1,200

The lower close does not restore the earlier floor. Once the calculated floor reaches starting balance, the lock prevents further upward movement under the published explanation. Use the dashboard's actual threshold if adjustments or account-stage handling make a personal calculation differ.

The sequence is an illustration, not a trading plan. It contains no forecast of how quickly those balances can be reached or whether a trader will pass the evaluation and funded review.

Calculate the actual debit before the next session

Suppose a funded $100K account has a locked $100,000 floor and a displayed balance of $102,000. Before any withdrawal, the simplified balance cushion is $2,000. Three independent proposed debits would have different effects:

Hypothetical account debitRemaining balanceLocked floorRemaining cushion
$400$101,600$100,000$1,600
$1,000$101,000$100,000$1,000
$1,600$100,400$100,000$400

These are account-debit scenarios, not statements that each request is eligible. The dashboard and agreement determine what can be requested and how it is recorded. Check them before using a table row as a purchase or withdrawal decision.

If a trader continues budgeting the next session from the old $2,000 cushion after the last scenario, the record overstates the remaining room by $1,600. Reconcile the balance only after the debit has actually posted, and distinguish a pending request from a completed account adjustment.

Cash received is a separate number

The payout rules describe funded futures eligibility above 1% profit and same-day processing when eligible. The trader share depends on the purchased plan. Standard accounts currently offer 60% or 80%; legacy routes can have different historical shares. This guide's price table uses Standard 80% accounts only.

An illustrative $500 eligible gross award at an 80% share corresponds to $400 before separate charges. That arithmetic does not prove the dashboard debits only $400. Record the approved gross amount, actual account debit and cash receipt in separate columns, using the firm's documents for each.

This distinction is especially useful when comparing a bank receipt with the trading statement. They measure different parts of the transaction. A difference should be reconciled before making assumptions about lost money or restored risk capacity.

Payout access and sustainable account room are different decisions

A request can meet the firm's numerical gate while still leaving less room than a trader's normal strategy requires. Evaluate both questions independently: is the request eligible, and does the intended remaining balance fit the next period's actual risk plan?

For example, an illustrative planned $120 loss represents 7.5% of a $1,600 cushion but 30% of a $400 cushion. The trade has not become smaller simply because the account label still says $100K. Several ordinary losses and transaction costs can consume a small remaining cushion quickly.

These percentages explain concentration, not a recommended risk level. Do not select a withdrawal amount or trade size from this example alone. Use the real account state and an independently established trading plan, and avoid treating a pending payout as money available to spend.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The official FAQ says the floor stays fixed at starting balance after it has locked.

Subtract the active floor from the balance remaining after the actual account debit, then consider all other risk controls separately.

Do not assume so. Reconcile the gross reward, account debit and net payment using the dashboard and payout statement.
