Alpha Capital permits news trading during evaluation. Once qualified, Pro and One apply a five-minute no-execution window before and after specified releases on affected instruments. Match each event to the firm's instrument list, then check both manual and pending orders. A previously placed order can still breach the qualified-stage restriction when it fills.

Verified codes: COMPARE50 gives 50% off the first Alpha Capital Forex/CFD purchase; COMPARE gives 30% off later purchases. Use the code for the relevant purchase; the offers are not stacked. Official account-policy and catalog sources reviewed 9 October 2026.

Build an event-to-instrument map

The official news policy covers more than the currency printed beside an event. Its examples include U.S. CPI, Federal Reserve rate announcements and non-farm employment affecting all instruments; oil also has Canadian high-impact releases and inventory events to consider. Metals have a broader event list. Check the full current matrix rather than treating these examples as exhaustive.

The following map is deliberately non-exhaustive; use the full official matrix for the actual event and instrument.

Use one row per event and one list of affected positions. Useful fields are announcement name, source calendar, impact classification, release time, time zone, affected symbols, account model and any pending orders. Record the platform's actual instrument suffix where relevant, so that a chart nickname does not hide which position the rule applies to.

For example, a hypothetical trader holding an oil position might build a watch list containing only oil inventories. The firm's instrument mapping gives a reason to check whether another scheduled release also matters. The point of the worksheet is to surface that question before order execution, rather than infer permission from an incomplete personal watch list.

Apply the account's timing rule

The Alpha Pro 6% guide specifies the five-minute opening/closing restriction; the dedicated news policy establishes its application to Qualified Analyst accounts. The Alpha One guide describes the same window. Use the detailed news policy to distinguish evaluation and Qualified Analyst stages instead of assuming that evaluation permissions carry forward unchanged.

The official news policy also treats speeches and conferences as events lasting through their actual end. It recognizes both Forex Factory and Myfxbook classifications: an event listed by the firm can matter when at least one of those sources identifies it as high impact. A single calendar's lower-impact color is therefore not enough to settle the check.

Work through two hypothetical clock examples

These examples illustrate time arithmetic and are not an economic calendar for a real trading day.

A single scheduled release

Suppose a relevant release is scheduled at 14:30 UTC. Subtracting five minutes gives 14:25; adding five gives 14:35. Put both times into the worksheet, with the source event and affected symbols beside them.

If your terminal displays UTC+3 on that particular date, the same hypothetical interval is 17:25–17:35 in terminal time. The three-hour offset is an example, not a claim about Alpha's server setting. Confirm the actual date-specific offset before converting; daylight-saving changes can make a saved conversion wrong.

Avoid planning a fill exactly on the displayed boundary. A rounded minute label may hide seconds, and the event's confirmed time can change. The worksheet should retain precise timestamps when available and flag uncertainty for clarification rather than silently rounding it away.

A speech with a later actual finish

Suppose a speech begins at 18:00 and finishes at 18:42. Applying five minutes before the start and five after the finish produces a planning interval of 17:55–18:47. A calendar showing only the 18:00 start does not supply an 18:05 end to the event itself.

If another relevant release overlaps, combine the intervals in your preparation sheet. For example, a second hypothetical event at 18:45 would generate an interval to 18:50. Keeping both source rows and a combined end time is clearer than forgetting the second event after updating the first.

Include orders that can execute without another click

The qualified news policy counts pending-order execution, including stop-loss and take-profit activity, as well as manual execution. Holding is permitted when the trade was opened more than five minutes before the relevant restricted event; that does not permit an execution inside the window. Affected profits can be excluded while losses remain. Read the execution and outcome details.

For preparation, reconcile three lists: open positions, attached protective orders and independent pending entries. A chart that appears quiet does not mean no order can fire. Check the actual order identifiers, quantity and instrument rather than relying solely on a visual line on one chart.

Do not remove risk protection merely to avoid a rule check. Decide well before the relevant interval whether the planned position management is compatible with both the account rules and the risk you can accept. If it is not, reconsider the trade before the interval begins. This guide is not a recommendation to hold unprotected exposure.

Swing is a separate rule set

For the qualified Alpha Swing plan, entries within two minutes before or after a relevant release must last longer than two minutes under its news rule. Evaluation news trading is permitted as described above. A different product label should trigger a fresh rule review instead of copying the Pro interval into every account.

Alpha's gambling-policy explanation also reviews speculative news behavior in the context of trading history. Merely placing an order outside a clock boundary does not establish compliance with all trading requirements. Keep the trading rationale and normal risk process consistent with the method actually being used.

Current coupon price examples

The official catalog publishes these USD base fees. Pro and Swing have different targets, loss rules and conditions; the shared nominal size does not make them equivalent products.

The calculations exclude optional upgrades, taxes and conversion charges. To redeem, select the exact model and payout package, enter the code appropriate to your purchase history, and inspect the applied discount and final total before paying. The Alpha Capital Group review compares the broader account conditions.

For the separate history-wide timing tests, see the Alpha Capital trade-duration guide. Its average-duration and profit-contribution checks should not be confused with the event-specific windows above.

Limitations and disclosure

The examples are educational scheduling and recordkeeping aids. They are not a live calendar, a trading signal, or approval of a particular trade. Consult current official documents and ask support about an ambiguous event or instrument before relying on an interpretation.

Compare Futures Prop may earn commission through qualifying links or coupon use. Alpha offers virtual trading programs; an evaluation purchase can be lost and does not guarantee earnings or a payout. Coupons reduce eligible purchase fees while the account's trading rules remain in force.
