GOAT Funded Trader's funded holding-time rule now depends on the original purchase date. Accounts purchased from 6 October 2026 at 00:00 UTC use a 60-second minimum; earlier purchases use 120 seconds. Profits from shorter funded trades are excluded at payout, while losses remain. A later challenge reset does not move an older purchase into the newer group. Official holding-time policy.

Verified code: AUDIT gives 45% off GOAT Funded Trader Forex/CFD accounts. See the current coupon page. Official rules checked 10 October 2026. This article concerns GOAT Funded Trader, whose rules should not be imported from the separate futures business.

Map every funded account to its purchase record

The policy applies to funded trading and follows the purchase date of the originating challenge. It does not impose this payout-duration filter on evaluation trades. The firm describes the profit adjustment as a payout calculation rather than an account breach in itself.

Create one account register with the original order date in UTC, challenge identifier, reset dates and current funded identifier. A funded activation date alone is insufficient to assign the threshold. If the order was placed near the cutoff, use the receipt's timestamp and ask official support to resolve an unclear time zone.

For example, a challenge bought on 5 October and reset on 8 October remains in the older group under the stated rule. A separate challenge purchased on 7 October falls into the newer group. These are purchase-history examples, not reasons to replace an otherwise suitable account.

A 90-second winner can receive different treatment

Consider an illustrative funded trading record containing four completed trades. The durations and results below are hypothetical, and the comparison isolates only the holding-time adjustment.

TradeDurationClosed result60-second account120-second account
A45 seconds+$120Exclude profitExclude profit
B90 seconds+$180Passes this duration testExclude profit
C150 seconds+$300Passes this duration testPasses this duration test
D45 seconds−$80Loss remainsLoss remains

The raw result is $520. Removing only A's $120 gives $400 for the newer account. Removing A and B gives $220 for the older account. Neither result is a final reward quote: other adjustments, the applicable reward share and fees come later.

This example shows why a count of winning trades is not enough. The amount of profit attached to disqualified durations matters. A short losing trade cannot be removed from a personal estimate just because the corresponding short winners are ineligible.

Build the adjustment from execution timestamps

Export the account's own order and deal history and retain opening and closing timestamps with ticket identifiers. Use the platform's recorded execution times rather than a screen recording of when a button was clicked. Display lag, partial fills and time-zone settings can make a visual estimate unreliable.

Where a position has partial closes, multiple entries or several related tickets, do not invent a grouping method. Ask how the firm's review pairs those executions for the duration calculation. Keep the raw records so a reviewer can reproduce the sequence.

A useful journal has separate columns for closed result, duration flag, adjustment amount and remaining result. Add a source column recording the applicable purchase-version policy. That makes it easier to correct a classification mistake without rewriting the underlying trade history.

Never hold a losing trade just to satisfy a timer

A minimum duration does not make a trade economically safer. If a planned protective exit triggers early, extending the loss solely to reach a time threshold can expose the account to additional damage. The published asymmetry should be considered before choosing a strategy for the program, rather than used as a reason to ignore an exit plan once a trade is open.

Review a representative sample of historical trades before buying. Count how often the strategy's profitable exits occur below the applicable threshold and calculate the affected dollars. This is a suitability exercise using past records, not a prediction that future performance will match them.

Reconcile this adjustment with the rest of a payout

Passing a duration test establishes only that particular condition. The GOAT Funded Trader review covers wider model differences, and the payout-cap guide explains a separate stage of reward arithmetic. The weekend-gap guide addresses another execution review.

Avoid subtracting the same trade profit twice when two review labels overlap. Retain the firm's actual adjustment statement and ask for a breakdown if several deductions appear against one ticket. Your estimate should remain clearly provisional until the account review establishes the accepted amount.

Apply AUDIT to the purchase fee only

Choose the exact account, platform and add-ons on the official site, apply AUDIT and inspect the 45% purchase discount. This rule guide does not quote a newly verified model-specific regular fee. The coupon does not reduce a duration threshold or reinstate excluded profit.
