Claim Offer See offer detailsTradeDay has refreshed its futures funding lineup for 2026. Traders can now choose Quick Pay, which prioritizes day-one withdrawals, or Fast Pass, which offers a shorter evaluation but adds structured funded-account payout rules.
This guide explains the current TradeDay rules in plain English: profit targets, trailing drawdown, consistency, minimum trading days, contract limits, payouts, news restrictions, platforms, resets, prohibited strategies and the move from Funded Sim to Funded Live.

TradeDay Rules at a Glance
The biggest difference is not the evaluation target. Both routes use the same 6% profit target and account-level drawdown amounts. The real difference appears after passing: Quick Pay offers faster access to payouts but uses an intraday Funded Sim drawdown and a tiered profit split, while Fast Pass keeps an end-of-day drawdown and uses profitable-day requirements and payout caps.
TradeDay Discount Code AUDIT for 55% Off
To claim the current TradeDay discount:
- Visit the official TradeDay website.
- Choose Quick Pay or Fast Pass.
- Select your account size, platform and drawdown option.
- Enter AUDIT in the coupon field.
- Confirm that 55% off has been applied before completing payment.
The code is worth using even if you plan to reset later because the first goal should be keeping the evaluation cost as low as possible.
TradeDay Pricing After the 55% Discount
TradeDay sells evaluations as monthly subscriptions. These were the prices displayed on TradeDay when this guide was reviewed:
Use TradeDay coupon code AUDIT to access the 55% discount and verify the final checkout amount. TradeDay states that there is no funded-account activation fee.
TradeDay Evaluation Account Rules
Profit Target: 6% on Every Account
The profit target is based on net trading profit after simulated commissions:
For example, a $50K evaluation must reach at least $53,000 after simulated commissions. TradeDay explains the calculation in its profit-target objective.
Maximum Trailing Drawdown
TradeDay offers two drawdown calculations:
- Intraday trailing drawdown: follows the highest unrealized equity reached during the session.
- End-of-day trailing drawdown: updates from the highest end-of-day account balance.
Both limits are enforced in real time. Even on an EOD account, touching or crossing the active drawdown floor intraday can fail the account. The floor trails upward with new highs and stops moving once it reaches the original starting balance.
TradeDay's maximum drawdown guide gives worked examples for both calculations.
A practical point traders often miss: the advertised account balance is not the amount you can lose. Your real risk budget is the distance to the drawdown floor.
Is There a Daily Loss Limit?
TradeDay's current evaluation objectives do not list a separate daily loss limit. The hard risk breach is the maximum trailing drawdown. Traders should still set a personal daily stop because a large intraday loss can touch the trailing floor and end the evaluation.
Quick Pay Consistency Rule: 30%
On Quick Pay, no single day's profit may be more than 30% of the total profit used to pass.
For a $3,000 target, 30% equals $900. If your best day is $1,200, the account does not immediately fail. Instead, you must keep trading until $1,200 is 30% or less of total profits. That would require $4,000 in total profit.
The formula is:
Largest winning day ÷ 30% = total profit required to pass
Fast Pass Consistency Rule: 45%
Fast Pass uses a more flexible 45% consistency objective.
For a $3,000 target, 45% equals $1,350. If your largest winning day exceeds the permitted share, the account remains active but the effective profit required to pass increases until that day represents 45% or less of total profit.
The formula is:
Largest winning day ÷ 45% = total profit required to pass
TradeDay describes both calculations in its current consistency-rule FAQ.
Minimum Trading Days
- Quick Pay: at least 5 trading days.
- Fast Pass: current evaluation objectives and pricing cards list 3 trading days.
A day counts when a trade is placed, and the days do not have to be consecutive. TradeDay warns against reaching the target early and then using tiny token trades merely to complete the remaining days. A material change in normal position size, products or trading time can trigger a review or extension.
TradeDay's Fast Pass marketing also describes the route as having no separate minimum-day requirement while advertising a three-day pass. In practice, traders should plan for at least three days, which also follows naturally from the 45% consistency cap.
Evaluation Contract Limits
Standard contracts and micros may be combined using TradeDay's micro-equivalency calculation. The general micro ceiling is 50 lots, although product-specific restrictions can be lower.
Quick Pay Funded Sim Rules
Quick Pay is designed for traders who want payout access as soon as possible after passing.
Quick Pay Funded Drawdown
All Quick Pay Funded Sim accounts use an intraday trailing drawdown, even if the evaluation was purchased with EOD drawdown. The amounts remain:
- $2,000 on $50K
- $3,000 on $100K
- $4,500 on $150K
There is no funded consistency rule, payout buffer or milestone listed for Quick Pay Funded Sim. The evaluation contract limit carries into the funded account.
Quick Pay Payout Rules
A payout may be requested once the account has a positive balance, subject to a $250 minimum request. TradeDay processes requests submitted before 5:30 p.m. CT within 24 hours on business days.
The funded-sim profit split depends on the account's current profit:
- 50/50 when current profit is below $4,000.
- 80/20 when current profit is above $4,000 and the withdrawal leaves more than $4,000 in the account.
- A withdrawal crossing below $4,000 is divided between the 80/20 and 50/50 portions.
This is not a “first $4,000 lifetime” calculation. The current Quick Pay payout policy says the threshold is calculated per account from current profit.
Another important detail: Quick Pay drawdown is tracked from gross profit, defined as current profit plus previous payouts. Withdrawing money does not reset the trailing drawdown. Traders need to check the remaining distance to the floor before requesting aggressively.
Quick Pay Route to Live Funding
TradeDay reviews each Quick Pay Funded Sim account when it reaches $10,000 in gross profit, including prior withdrawals. Trading should stop at the threshold while the account is reviewed. Profit above $10,000 may be forfeited.
TradeDay says most qualifying accounts are moved to Funded Live, although it may extend Funded Sim or move a trader live earlier. See the official Quick Pay path to live trading.
Fast Pass Funded Sim Rules
Fast Pass keeps an EOD trailing drawdown after passing, but it uses smaller starting position limits and structured payout cycles.
Fast Pass Starting Position Limits
Fast Pass Payout Eligibility
To request a Fast Pass Funded Sim payout, a trader must:
- Request at least $250.
- Keep the balance above the relevant starting balance.
- Be net profitable since the previous payout.
- Complete 5 qualifying profitable trading days; they need not be consecutive.
- Satisfy the 45% funded consistency rule if the account was opened on or after July 26, 2026.
- Stop trading after submitting the request until the payout is received.
A qualifying profitable day must earn at least:
- $150 on $50K
- $200 on $100K
- $250 on $150K
Fast Pass Payout Caps
For accounts opened on or after July 26, 2026, a request is limited to 50% of the permitted account balance and the following hard cap:
The Funded Sim profit split is 80/20. After a payout, the remaining balance becomes the reference point for the next cycle, and the trader must build net new profit plus five new qualifying days.
On the first payout, if the trailing drawdown has not yet reached the original starting balance, TradeDay moves it to that level and freezes it there. The Fast Pass payout policy was updated on August 19, 2026 and should take priority over older pricing cards.
Fast Pass Route to Live Funding
Fast Pass normally transitions to Funded Live on the fifth payout request, although TradeDay may move a consistent trader earlier. Funded Live withdrawals use a 90/10 split, with the trader keeping 90%. TradeDay also applies live-account buffer and risk rules, so traders should read the current Fast Pass live route before reaching the transition.
News Trading, Overnight and Weekend Rules
TradeDay is a day-trading program.
- Overnight trading is allowed after the futures session reopens.
- All positions and working orders must be closed 10 minutes before the relevant product's market close.
- Positions cannot be carried through the market close or over the weekend.
- TradeDay blocks trading from 2 minutes before until 2 minutes after its Tier 1 data releases.
- Accidental guideline breaches are not normally an automatic failure, but repeated abuse can lead to account closure.
TradeDay's Tier 1 list includes FOMC minutes, FOMC rate decisions, U.S. CPI, U.S. employment/NFP and product-specific EIA or crop reports. Times can change, so check the dashboard calendar rather than relying on a saved list. The official permitted-times guideline explains the session rules.
Permitted Futures Products
TradeDay allows selected CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX futures. The list includes major equity indices, currencies, rates, energy and agricultural contracts.
As of this review, TradeDay's product FAQ lists temporary restrictions on full-size GC, SI, HG and PL, while MGC and SIL are limited to four lots across account sizes. Product availability can change, so review the current permitted-products list before every new market.
Multiple Accounts and Copy Trading
TradeDay permits multiple accounts with important boundaries:
- Up to 6 accounts at one time across evaluation and funded stages.
- Up to 3 active Funded Sim accounts; additional passed accounts may be queued.
- Up to 5 Funded Live accounts, within the overall structure.
- Multiple accounts must use one trading platform.
- Copy trading from a trader's own personal account into TradeDay is allowed.
- Copy trading may be used between 2 or 3 Funded Sim accounts.
- Funded Live and Funded Sim accounts must be traded separately and cannot copy one another.
- Only one username and one user per household are permitted.
- Hedging opposite positions between accounts is prohibited.
The latest details are in TradeDay's multiple-account policy.
Automated Trading, Bots and Prohibited Strategies
TradeDay does not make its platform API available to traders. Automated systems must run through a supported platform and comply with its rules. Third-party purchased bots or systems used by multiple traders are prohibited.
Other prohibited practices include:
- More than 200 trades in one day.
- Extremely short, few-second strategies designed to capture only a tick or two.
- Queue-position or simulated-fill exploitation.
- Latency, stale-price or external slow-data-feed arbitrage.
- Order splitting at the same price and time.
- Spoofing, layering or other disruptive practices.
- Trading gapped or illiquid markets for stray fills.
- Hedging between connected accounts.
- Using a VPN, VPS or IP-masking service to hide location.
- Trading within 2% of a price limit on a funded account.
TradeDay reviews first payout requests and may confiscate profits, deny funding or close accounts when it identifies prohibited activity. Read the prohibited trading practices before using scalping or automation.

Billing, Resets and Funded Fees
Evaluation accounts renew every 30 days until passed or canceled. If an evaluation is breached, an immediate reset can be purchased; the reset does not change the original billing date.
Once funded:
- TradeDay cancels the evaluation subscription.
- There is no activation fee.
- Funded Sim traders do not pay a separate market-data fee.
- Simulated commissions remain included in P&L.
- Funded Live traders pay actual commissions and CME professional data fees. TradeDay currently lists $156 per month per exchange plus a small card-processing charge.
TradeDay's funded-fee FAQ contains the latest amounts. Evaluation subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Country Restrictions and KYC
TradeDay cannot onboard citizens or residents of numerous restricted jurisdictions. It also limits Funded Live eligibility for Germany and most of Canada outside Ontario; eligible traders there may remain in Funded Sim.
Funded onboarding requires KYC and AML checks, government identification and proof of address. Because the country list changes, check TradeDay's prohibited-country page before purchasing.
Which TradeDay Account Is Better?
Quick Pay may suit you if:
- You want day-one payout eligibility.
- You prefer no funded consistency rule.
- You accept intraday drawdown in Funded Sim.
- You understand the 50/50 and 80/20 profit-split threshold.
Fast Pass may suit you if:
- You prefer EOD drawdown in both the evaluation and Funded Sim stage.
- You can maintain 45% consistency.
- You are comfortable completing five qualifying days for each payout.
- You accept tier-based payout caps and lower starting funded contract limits.
Neither route is automatically easier. Quick Pay is more flexible for withdrawals but its intraday funded drawdown can be tighter in practice. Fast Pass preserves EOD drawdown but demands more structure before each payout.
Common Mistakes That Can Cost the Account
- Buying a Quick Pay EOD evaluation and assuming the funded drawdown will remain EOD.
- Touching the drawdown floor with unrealized losses.
- Reaching the target while the best day is still above the consistency percentage.
- Taking a Quick Pay payout without checking how gross-profit drawdown will affect remaining risk.
- Trading during TradeDay's blocked Tier 1 news window.
- Holding through the product close or weekend.
- Copying between Funded Sim and Funded Live accounts.
- Using a third-party bot, prohibited ultra-fast scalping or hedging.
- Continuing to trade after a Fast Pass payout request.
- Relying on an old payout-cap table instead of the newest help-center policy.
TradeDay Rules Explained: Final Verdict
TradeDay's 6% profit targets and lack of a separate daily loss rule are straightforward, but the funded-stage details decide whether the account fits your strategy.
Quick Pay is built around immediate payout access. Fast Pass is built around EOD drawdown and structured payout cycles. Before choosing, compare the drawdown calculation, funded profit split, qualifying-day requirement and payout cap—not just the headline account size.
