Quick answer: FundingPips’ current Standard and Zero guides require at least one completed trade, opened and fully closed, within each 30-calendar-day window. An open position does not reset or pause the inactivity clock. On an unused account, the clock begins at account creation; after trading, it begins the day after the last trade was fully closed.

Verified code: AUDIT. Offer: 10% off all FundingPips accounts. A discounted purchase does not extend the inactivity period. See the current FundingPips offer.

Code: AUDIT

Official rules and pricing availability checked 8 October 2026. This guide addresses account continuity rather than recommending trades to satisfy a deadline.

Keep one clock for every account

The current 2 Step Standard guide defines activity as a trade that has been opened and fully closed. It says 30 consecutive calendar days without completed trading breaches the account.

The clock belongs to the individual account. A complete journal therefore needs the account reference, current model and stage, creation date, most recent fully closed trade and displayed inactivity status. Trading in a different account is not evidence that this account’s record has changed.

Do not start the journal from the purchase receipt if the actual account creation date differs. Use the platform’s account record and keep the original timestamp available for a support query.

Separate three events that look like activity

EventWhat it establishes for the inactivity check
Logging into the dashboardAccess was checked; no completed trade is established
Opening a position and leaving it openAn open position exists; the official rule says the timer does not pause
Opening and fully closing a tradeThe event described by the completed-trade requirement

A pending order or a screenshot of an open position is not evidence of a fully closed trade. For partial exits, verify that the trade is fully closed rather than assuming the first reduction completed it.

The FundingPips Zero guide repeats the same distinction between open exposure and completed activity. Keep that rule separate from how the model defines a trade idea for risk limits.

Build a calendar with room to resolve errors

Suppose a hypothetical account was created on 1 October and has not traded. Its record should begin with the creation event. If a trade is later fully closed on 8 October, the guide says the next inactivity count starts on the following day.

The practical task is to record the completed event and confirm the dashboard reflects it. Do not plan around a guessed final-minute cutoff. Weekends and holidays still pass on a calendar, even when a preferred market or trading session is unavailable.

Set your own review point comfortably before the displayed deadline. That review should answer whether you still intend to use the account, whether a compliant trading opportunity fits your process and whether any timestamp discrepancy needs support. A reminder is an organisational aid, not a reason to enter a low-quality trade.

Keep the evidence small and useful

Save the account’s activity status, the completed trade’s ticket reference and its open/close timestamps. Keep passwords and authentication codes out of the record. If the dashboard disagrees with the trade history, describe the mismatch to official support and attach only the relevant evidence through the firm’s supported channel.

Until the firm confirms a correction or extension, do not assume that sending a message has stopped the timer.

Zero has a second 30-day measurement

The current Zero rules also require seven days with net profit of at least 0.25% of Master account size within a rolling 30-day period for reward eligibility. This is a different test from avoiding inactivity.

One fully closed trade can satisfy the type of activity event used by the inactivity rule, while leaving the trader far short of seven qualifying reward days. Conversely, a historical record of qualifying days should not be treated as a permanent exemption from future inactivity.

Use two columns: “last completed trade” and “qualifying reward days in the current window.” Do not turn both into a single green “active” status. The distinction matters when preparing a reward request after a break.

An inactivity breach is not automatically reversible

The current Standard and Zero guides describe inactivity as an account breach. A trader should not assume that an explanation, a login or a newly submitted order after closure restores the old account and its progress.

Zero’s official guide describes a 7% discounted reset option within seven calendar days of breach, retaining account size and platform. That is a separate recovery offer. Do not add AUDIT’s 10% purchase discount to that reset percentage or imply that a reset preserves prior rewards.

Before any replacement purchase, read the exact account state and the offered reset terms. Our Master merge guide covers another account-management change that can affect recorded progress; neither process should be treated as a timer extension without explicit terms.

Current AUDIT calculation and price limitation

The official public purchase selector returned an access error during this check, so current model-and-size fees could not be verified. No numerical account price is quoted here.

Once the current official base purchase fee is visible, saving = fee × 0.10 and final base fee = fee × 0.90. Apply AUDIT before payment and verify the discount line and full order total. The nominal simulated account size is not the purchase fee.

Reset promotions, Swing or swap-free options, payment costs, taxes and conversion charges remain separate unless the order explicitly establishes coverage. No stacking is assumed. The Funding Pips review provides account context, while the selected model’s current official guide controls its rules.

A practical account-continuity check

  1. List every active account and its exact model and stage.
  2. Record creation or the most recent fully closed trade.
  3. Check the displayed inactivity deadline against those records.
  4. Review each account before holidays or an extended break.
  5. Keep reward-day progress in a separate field.
  6. Resolve mismatches through official support before relying on an extension or reset.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The current guides say a trade must be fully closed. Leaving it open does not reset or pause the inactivity timer.

For an unused account, it begins at account creation. After trading, it begins the day after the last trade was fully closed.

The official rule specifies consecutive calendar days. Track the dashboard deadline rather than counting only trading sessions.

No. Zero has a separate rolling-window requirement for seven days meeting its stated net-profit threshold. A completed trade and a qualifying reward day are different checks.

Stacking is not established. AUDIT is verified for 10% off account purchases; the separate published Zero reset offer has its own terms.
